  1. Well i have the opposite! Can hit driver amazing but can hit irons Its a funny game!!!
  2. Every shot!!! lol
  3. Sounds like you have more of a slice than a cut. I dont no but from the sounds of what your saying. It is easier and the more consitent way to line directly to the target with the club directly to the target. It is better to hit the ball straight as even a high percentage of single figure handicaps cannot draw or fade the ball on command. It is more important to try to hit the ball straight then to try to cut the ball. This is just my opinion but it your golf swing and your way playing the game. Good luck!!!
  4. I am considering buying a waterproof suit. I was looking at the ProQuip Silk touch waterproof suit. I like the look and the price is not to bad either. Does anyone have a waterproof suit that they have? Not sure that i can justify the price as i would only wear it a few time although if i buy one i could wear to go to sports events!
  5. What the cloting that you like? Does not have to be the one that you wear. It the one that you like the style of. Mine is Ralph Lauren!!! Like the silky style that the clothing had. Nive understated clothing, especially like the polo shirts. Shame bout the price but i suppose that what you have to pay for designer gear.
  6. Just wondering your opinion on what is the most important stat to be leading in a PGA tour event. The one that will help you the most to win. Any other suggestions please add them.
  7. I agree! There are too many people buying Pro V's boping that they will change there game. Its not about what ball you use it how you use it. My advice would be though, once you found a ball you like stick with it. Then you will have confidence and also touch and feel will start to develop.
  8. Well all I can say is good job there are lots of different companies making lot sof different clubs for lots of different people. Most companies all have different aims. E.G Callaway - A better game by design Titleist - More traditional
  9. Once you get out onto the course dont try to change anything, just play. Tinkering is to be done on the practise ground. If you are playin with a slice just aim further left and play with it. It will be more damaging if you change your swing on the course it may help but then next time you get onto the practise ground oyu have no confidence i what you are doing. If oyu carry on playing with the bad swing then you know what you have to practise on. Like Tiger said after a tournament win, "the other player hit it into the water and i had been struggling with a hook all day so i knew that i just had to hit the green. With water left and a little right to left breeze i aimed at least 30 yards left to make sure i didnt go in the water even allowing for the hook i was struggling with. I hit the shot and the hook was back, although as i allowed for it the ball finished 6 feet away. I didnt try to change my swing as then i would not know where the ball would end up so just played on."
  10. Well its to do with the greens that they are hitting to as they are uber soft so the ball will zipp backwards. Well there are a few tips: STEP 1: Stand with your feet closer together than when you normally swing. STEP 2: Position yourself so that the ball is closer to your back foot. STEP 3: Swing the club on a steeper plan (more upright). STEP 4: Hit directly underneath the ball before taking a divot. Take a divot that is long and shallow. You also need to use the softest ball possible as remember that pro's use the softest balls to get maximum control and spin. So using a Pro V or another premium ball would also help the ball to spin and you also need to keep the grooves of the clubs clean as this is what produces the spin.
  11. Well what happens when the laces break normal shoes you can buy new laces wot bout new steel lacces, i dont think so. that will mean sending back to titleist for weeks and no golf few a while or even new shoes. Do they come with a lace guarentee?
  12. Wow suprised theres not velco shoes for people who cant tie there laces!!!! THeres gap in the market if titleist or any other company are reading this thread. I want a cut of the profits tho
  13. Not sure if you will of heard of him but Oliver Fisher won his card for the European tour last year and this season he has not missed a cut. I never saw Tiger in his early days on tour but he reminds me of a younger version of Tiger. He is a very good player and doesnt have that flair that seems to hang with players that never progress. Like sergio. Now he has signed for Nike so ill expect him to make a big appearance in a major in the next for years. Make a note of the name and remember it was mee that told you bout him. (although if you bet some dosh in him and he dont win dont come knocking at my door)
  14. Yep i no!!! Just think he could of won over 30 majors. But Tiger has the ability to close the deal. Not often you see him finish in 2nd place. The debate goes on!!!!
  15. I think that golf now needs a new emerging light to come through the ranks. Like in tennis Nadal has come through and now Federer cannot beat the guy on clay. (At least were not tennis fans where federer wins everything apart from clay) This would be good for the game to see Tiger and another guy at the top of the leader board battling on a sunday afternoon. I can see golf has kind of gone the way F1 went with michael schumacher. The sport got boring for a few years while he won everything, but when Alonso came along it was a battle at the top and Alonso won in the end. THat is what golf needs, like back when Mickleson was in his prime and could maybe beat Tiger every now and then. The media attention was then on a Wood V Mickleson match up not just on Tiger. We do need a battle at the top a few weeks of the year and i though that Segio would bring that or even Donald but that hasnt happened and they have fallen back into the chasing pack. (P.S you got to be a good golfer to wear trousers/pants (for you yanks) like that
  16. I had a pair of trainers with the same idea and they were so comfortable but after looking at the footjoy version im not sure. I dont like the way of the thing at the back it just sticks out and looks horrible. The pair of Puma trainers i had, had the screw on the tongue of the shoe so it did not get in the way. I think that the idea is good but the way that they have done it is not quite as good as it could be. But if they are comfortable then ill maybe buying a pair.
  17. Dont hit the ball!!!! Just swing the club and the ball should get in its way. The amount of people who try to kill the ball. The faster you swing does not mean the further it goes. You have to make contact with the sweet spot of the club. Have more to add and will do it in small sections as you guys need some entertainment.
  18. Im a strong believer that you stick with a putter until it falls apart. Look at Mr Woods. Used the same putter for countless number of years. Although i do believe that if you really are having a bad time putting then a new putter is the way forward. I am lucky as i have never struggled with my putting that bad to bend it over my knee.
  19. Titleist make some of the best clubs but the price is too much for me. Its true what they say, you pay for quality. Taylor made make very solid clubs and they are also half the price of any titleist offering. Woods - Tileist or Taylor made Irons - Mizuno or Titleist Wedges - Titleist or Cleveland Putter - Titleist, mizuno or odyssey Balls - Titleist, Srixon or Taylor Made As you can see every section in clubs Titleist. This is because i like there approach to the traditional clubs that perform as good as any modern/ saucepan lookin club!
  20. Dont even think of satrting golf! Play a game where you can blame someone else mainly team sports!
  21. Great question! Well apart from me making my major debuts and winning the grand slam, i think that there will be at least one european winner. Although player like Donald, Casey, Stenson, Harrington and Clarke all have the talent, the "Tiger Factor comes in". If he is top of the leaderboard at the end of 3rd round then he will win. The only real person that can stop him is his new baby and he wife! Poor tiger he may never have a better chance at the grand slam!
  22. Not sure if i want to see the ultimate golf tournament hosted by the golf god just yet. Although i would love to see it eventually. Maybe i shoudl open a new thread. Who would win if the golf god had a tournament and all golfer that won at least 5 majors were all invited. Played at all 4 majors, St andrews, Augusta, not sure where it should be for the other 2.
  23. After reading my monthy golf mag im not sure anymore. They did the biggest test ever with every company (available in UK) sending every ball they had in there line. After testing well over a hundred balls the end conclusion..... MAKE YOUR DECISION- ITS WHAT EVER YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH AND CAN AFFORD!!!! I though this was fair so from this my advice is that buy a few different brands and price ranges and see what ones you like. And dont get drawn in by the "premium ball factor". The more oyu pay for a ball does not mean it is better. The expensive balls have more technolog and may perform a little better but i have found the best ball for me are SRIXON AD333. AD333 may not perform the best but at least i dont cringe and cry as much if i hit one into the woods or the water.
  24. Tiger is the best thing that has happened to golf. If he hadnt of arrived then i would not be writing on this thread. When i was bout 10 there was no tiger woods and when i played golf it seemed boring to say the least. 4-5 years later went wood had the amazing 1999 and 2000 season i took up golf again and it seemed fun. Now i cant wait till i next get onto the course. Tiger is my hero
  25. He was wearing them because for the sand storm. If you watch it on TV it seems like very thick fog and was very hard to see where the ball went. They must be nike. Would Tiger wear anything else/ or more to the point how much did he get paid to wear them.
