During late September through November.... I usually have the course to myself in the afternoons. Sometimes there is a steady drizzle and for some unknown reason...... I love it. I do not play much here in the summer. (too hot) I will play 3-4 times a week from Sept-May. I can deal with rain alot better than the heat.

I have seen way too many players with swings far better than mine who cannot break 90 because of poor decision making. It's not a myth. I have one of the crappiest swings in the world and could easily get back to a 6 handicap if I got to play more. A sound swing is very important..... but it gets you squat if your not in the short grass most of the time.

TigerSpuds....... I dont think the Euro's are stronger either. But I think they will play a little looser. .... Darren will keep em loose. My prediction is that the Darren will lock & cha in Montey up in a isolated room with a 10 lb. cheesecake to occupy himself while the matches are carried out. :)

I guess that my biggest complaint about Tiger's era is how everyone folded up around him when he put the pressure on ( with the exception a very few). I do not mean to knock Tiger's game.....we all know how damn good he is. But it has been almost embarrassing to watch the faces of the other good players when they have been paired with him in the final rounds. Jack had the same mystic, but at the same time he also had 3 or 4 guys that loved handing his butt to him. I have to agree with everyone who thinks that the overall field of players is deeper with talent than 30 years ago. But I disagree that todays players are tougher than 30 years ago. I also remember everyone saying 20 years ago that Jack's record would never be broken because of the parity in talent that was coming up at the time. I guess we didnt see Tiger coming did we? :) Even if Tiger breaks the record......it wont be safe. There will always be that special player every now and then.

Im for the USA.... but I am in a pool at the local course. I have Team Europe for the win . For fewest points .....I have Oglivy. For most points ...... I have Rory. Pretty wild pick with Rory, but I think he will be up for this Ryder Cup.

Stadler is one of the few who knew how to let out his anger. He was always liked by the players and fans regardless.

BS........ wouldnt need a putter. He'd hole out the 1 iron this time with the better ball.

Most of what I see with high handicappers (18-36) 1. Wrong decisions 2. Wrong decisions 3. Wrong decisions

Not to argue....... but the hanky's actually give you much better feel. I have tried almost every rain glove out there. But mayby you could point me towards a better one?

I carry a hankerchief cut in half to place between my hand and the grip. You dont even know its there, and it gives me the same feel as a dry grip.

He better bring a different putting game than he's had lately. He's not putting badly........ just not making many.

ahhhh...... just did a search on Dyker Beach GC. It is the old Dyker Meadows course. Ididnt know the city bought it.

Dyker Beach? Never heard of it. I played a Dyker Meadow (private club) as a guest about 20 years ago. Am I missing some thing here? Thats the only course that I knew of in Brooklyn.

I played Pelham Bay and Split Rock earlier this year and the rounds ended up turning into a pilgrimage. Both rounds were over 5 1/2 hours. I guess with 10 million people cramped into such a small area, its going to be that way. As far as staying loose, or keeping your mind on the game? ..........Good Luck pards.

Yes I would leave JBH off. Montey will have the rough grown in for the week. I think his distance would be neutralized. Yeah........ I know Cink is down to 50th place on the money list right now but I am sure that he can get his game back to form. I like Holmes too, but I would prefer a down the middle steady eddie.
