  1. I have played my last 4 rounds under no wait conditions and they have all been very good for me. Ive shot in the 80's all 4 of those rounds. Earlier this season I had the misfortune of playing a busy day when it took almost 5 hours and it was 1 of my worst rounds of the year. I think Im just playing better now and thats the biggest reason but I have a much better frame of mind when I know Ill be done in around 3 hours. Ive read on these threads that some people are out for 5 hours or more. My patience really wears thin when I realize its gonna be more than 4 1/2 hrs.
  2. I agree.......................but to keep carrying on like that, on to the next hole is just plain old actin a fool.
  3. Hes a professional and it does come off that he acted kind of silly thats all. It just shows a lack of self control and maturity. 2 things a man should have by his age. Hopefully he learns from this experience.
  4. So I was watching this live now on dvr and this thread forced me to fast forward 2 hours to see the "antics". Talk about makin an ass of yourself on tv. I actually was cheerin for Overton but when he did that I said Appleby definitely deserves it. The players and the dropping or tossing of the clubs has really been putting me in a funk too.
  5. I look for them when Im out there. Two of the courses I play at each have a hole that me and a friend consider the Mecca of lost golf balls. We have found dozens in less than 10 minutes of looking, of course this is when no one is around except our other friend who wants nothing to do with looking for balls and he usually loses the most. I wont EVER do this if people are behind us but we only golf weekday mornings and its ususally not too crowded.
  6. I use a 56* Niblick pretty much for greenside bunker shots because I suck at them and this helps me a bunch. It also works well for me with different trouble shots and it goes about 60 yards for me on a 3/4 swing which I admit I dont use it much for. Im no elitist and make no excuses for carrying it and I will continue to do so. I work lots ,have 3 little kids and when I have time to golf its gonna be on the course not at a sand trap at a driving range.
  7. A Cobra Baffler TWS 18* hybrid. Will put it to the test in about 12 hrs.
  8. Welcome, from close to Canada. Im in Buffalo NY. I can be in Canada in 10 minutes from my house. Many, many good times with my friends to the north especially in T.O.
  9. Welcome from another New Yorker Im west of you near Buffalo. Im actually new here myself.
  10. This answer most reflects my sentiment as well. I dont care what someone else does. I usually take a power cart if its included in the price and if not a push cart. I go to the gym so I am not worried about walking and carrying a bag as I know I can lift and carry things that are much heavier.
  11. no. I bought a Slazenger bag because it was less expensive and had all the features I wanted. I have Callaway,Cobra,Taylormade and Titleist clubs in the bag, so the bag matching wasnt ever really a thought. By having a less expensive bag I can spend more on clubs lol.
  12. I would say that it couldnt hurt, but it wont make you hit the ball much farther imo. Ive been lifting for about 6 yrs and although I hit the ball farther now than I did then I believe its due to better form more than it is to more muscle.
  13. I will speak on behalf of the 909f2. I have the 15.5 model with a reg flex blueboard shaft. The club is very nice and has a great feel. It has a smaller head than lots of other 3 woods out there but this doesnt affect me at all. Contrary to what people think it is very forgiving imo. Not having a closed club face is a big plus for me too as I hook the ball on my bad shots.
  14. If I ever go to a PGA tour event, I am going to wear a shirt that says "people that yell get in the hole suck!"
