  1. So awesome, I only wish I had the space for one. I'm so jone's-n for one right now!
  2. I'm glad someone is voicing there opinion of it. I have the 2010 bag, and liked the idea of having 14 club storage on the top which is what I was looking for when I went with OGIO. I've found the 2010 system of club management great but always wondered about this years model. You've confirmed my suspicions that it probably was a downgrade vs. and upgrade. My 2010 bag had an issue with the metal ring that is the center of the shoulder straps. I carry 16 clubs around my local muni so I can practice several shots with different clubs but I guess the weight was too much because after about 15 rounds the ring separated and the straps came out. I was going to return it but couldn't locate the receipt so I just use a good pair of channel locks to bend the ring back and secured it with a metal weld compound. This years model looks like they improved that part but skimped in other areas. Thanks for confirming you suspicion, I'll stick with what I got because it's a great bag other than that.
  3. I got fitted at the PGA super store last year from Bridgestone. They were doing a clinic and had all the launch monitor stuff setup. They had me hit my normal ball. (At the time it was a Nike Tour ball and Pro V1x. They fitted me to a e6 / e7) I play a slight fade as my standard shot and these balls took a little more side spin off the balls according to there launch settings. I tried the e6's for about 1 1/2 months but went back. Not because they weren't great but mainly because I didn't see a noticeable distance. Another note, they only had me use the driver. I was sort of expecting a SW,7I,Driver or something that would at least spread out the statistics. But it was an enjoyable time. I did also try an e5 which I was not fitted for (These are the lowest cost urethane covered balls) I could find and actually had better results with that in my putting and chipping.
  4. What is your post about? I can't understand a word from Moe?
  5. The only bonus out of this thread is that the PGA Commissioner and ruling bodies are going to consider changing the application of the rules. I completely agree with that move. I watched Morning drive this morning as they discussed it and this is one time where I actually agree with Hawk. The fact that viewers actually call in, highlights a bigger problem for the PGA that it doesn't know how to deal with effectively. If they can't get the calls right, and it takes a viewer to call in, it absolutely does nothing good for the sport. They have not intention of dis-allowing viewers to call, text, e-mail, twitter, facebook or vulcan mind meld their observations in. And why would the alienate any of a fan base they are struggling to grow. The larger problem is growing the sport when any new comers will look at the rules, and recent rule violations as BS like the 60 - 70% of us who stated no in the poll. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/golf-videos/morning-drive-february-9-2011-15217/?ref=26000 Check out 0:58 - The guys talking about snitches and right around 4:00 when they talk to Hawk. Couldn't agree more with all 3 of them. iacas - you seem like the ha, ha guy they refer too around 1:05.
  6. This show would be great if his caddy would smack the sh**t out of him.
  7. I don't think he made it through Q school since it was last year in 2010, and there is no page for him on any of the Champions tour or PGA stats page. I put this on the DVR since Golf channel has this an Haney/Rush for shows this season.. OMFG get some better shows. However, this whole show is ridiculous. If your homeless, I would think you'd get to a shelter, a job, and then a roof over your head with at least a rent payment. Sort your life out, and then think about golf. Instead, he's like nope, I think I'll chase golf. This should be called 'crack pipe dream' Regardless of his GF situation, he still was a mooch and she funded everything. He was an instructor and a consultant on the movie Sword Fish and didn't have the game for any of the real tours. Grow up, get a set and take care of your life and $$$. So to predict the future here since it's already happened. 1) He doesn't pass Q - School. (Nice of his friends to blow $3K on his dream) 2) Doesn't seem to be on any tours (Even John Daly gets on with sponsor exemptions and no card.) 3) Now he's a motivational speaker.... dude sign me up because I'd love to take advice for a guy accused of being an abuser and kicked out on the streets... umm whom would rather try professional golf vs. getting a real job and a real place of his own. Things happen for a reason.... maybe that's how he ended up there. I don't wish the guy bad luck or anything, I just hope he truly gets his act together. From the show listing on GC he's talking with the professional Psychiatrist. That should help.
  8. And I'm sure you put the ball in the same spot to the dimple right??? And to ghalfaire's point with PH, I gotta side with you on that one, PH when he says 'how would he have known that the ball wasn't in the same spot?' There was no advantage to his placement, but that isn't taken into account right and I understand that. But PH didn't have slow motion video and his eyes might have been on his ball marker, the putting surface etc... There is just a point where... rules are the rules etc... is crazy. Let's be honest guys, how often do you pay attention if you ball is slightly more to the hole or farther away when you put it down by the marker, or when you use a club head to mark the ball marker out of another's putt line path. I know I'm pretty conscious of where I put it and I don't move it up a 1/4 or 1/2 inch but I put it where I think the spot was. I know the PH thing has more to do with the ball moving as he picked up the marker and caused the ball to move, but have to side with his statement that even if he wanted to he could not of repositioned it back because he thought it was in the correct spot. So IMHO the DQ and rule infraction which I understand really sucks because It's pretty obvious he was not intending to cheat or give himself and advantage. I know also that rules have some intent included but in the grand scheme of things I imagine I'm correct in saying that way these rules came into being don't really fit some of the infractions.
  9. People getting DQ'd after rounds are over for balls moving 1.5 dimples back are not knee jerk reflex's. It's simply golfers in a community saying enough of the BS, you loosing the whole spirit of the original game. Now if you place a ball back by your marker it has to be exactly in the spot to the dimple. Come on man... freaking ridiculous! I sent out an invite to Barry to see if he'll join my regular foursome so we don't break the ROG.
  10. Have any of you had to go back to the tee and re-hit? I could only imagine the embarrassment one would have to go hit again while another group is waiting behind you.
  11. I like the show and got a lot of respect for both parties. Both are extremely successful individuals, make the $$$ and are or have been at the peak of their profession. That's something some of the golf professionals and instructors in this forum will never experience. The show has never really been about golf lessons, it's always just a spectacle to draw ratings and I'm sure when it's done this will be the best season for people tuning in. I really wish there was another golf network that actually had interesting shows. Now that there with NBC it will only start to suck more.
  12. What is the point of this poll? The viewers and spectators are already allowed and do notify rules officials and PGA / USGA organizations. Even by twitter and FB. Most of us agree they should not but the fact is it already occurs and is approved. To me this seems more of a post to flame or get flamed by others. The fact that most people agree this should not be done, allowed or encouraged indicates that the golfing community as a whole has a big issue with it. It should be looked at and changes made. I can think of many that would make golf more enjoyable for others and would be. The fact that the ROG are so complicated and thought out to the point that most PGA players don't know them all is an even bigger indication that the game rules are off course and need simplification.
  13. Wrong. Rules officials are more than just a resource, look at what happened to Dustin Johnson last year. When they come up and tack on an extra two, they stop being a resource and became the enforcer. So IMHO we don't need a second opinion as people already call the PGA and Golf channel as we evident this last week when people called into the golf channel saying Bubba Watson had moved the ball on the chip shot (17) and were raising hell.... however Golf channel confirmed after the tournament that a rules official was standing behind or in close proximity and said it didn't move. Also here is case in point.... People already call stuff in and get people penalized and DQ'd. http://www.pgatour.com/2011/r/01/08/villegas-ruling.ap/index.html But pay attention to said Rules Official. The PGA TOUR doesn't mind fans contacting them, although Rules Official Jon Brendle said 80 percent of the "tons of calls we get" turn out to be nothing . Even so, the TOUR's job is to protect the field, and if there's a violation pointed out by anyone -- another player, spectator or someone in front of the TV -- the officials check it out. What a colossal waste of rules officials time. If they could use that 80% they'd probably catch closer to 100% of the infractions. My last two cents on this one would be the fact that players get DQ'd when they don't know the rules should be seriously looked at. We should and must take into account the golfers intention. Did CV move the loose impediment because he wanted a better lie and not assess himself the penalty or was it just a nervous twitch. If a penalty is not going to be called immediately then they player should not be DQ'd after signing his card unless they can prove he/she did so in a deceiving manner and with intent to cheat. He or shee should simply have to resubmit the score. How hard would that be.
  14. Dude!! Applause for the effort. That surface has to feel like Augusta though.... plus you know you can take the track to actual putting greens. You might get a snicker or two if you haul that beast out to your local green... J/K
  15. I got to agree with most of the posts in here. I too think he should switch to decaf and slow down a little bit. He's got street cred though, don't forget he was an assistant pro at Augusta National for almost 4 years. They don't bring in people who don't know what they are talking about. He also wrote a very good book on how to correctly video the swing. It's helped me immensely.
