  1. I think he's referring to the kick point in your shafts. It may be too low.

    Soccer?

Aren’t you all forgetting the POSH.... yeh thats right Peterborough United!!! Sitting a solid 6th in league 2!!!! ok I'll shut up now
  3. I play my 3i off the tee on tight or short par 4's a lot. I can count on it for 215 yards. I definitely don’t have a problem with flight. I have to work hard at keeping it low.
  4. I took a trip down to Palm Springs this year and played at PGA West. The area is very nice with lots of non golf things to do, but more importantly than that the area has a ton of quality courses to play. If you go you have to play the Stadium Course . Check dates though because q school finals are around that time I think.

how did the monday qualifier go?
  6. I think taking out the distance claims from your site would be a great idea. The first thing I think when someone tells me huge distances is “who cares”. You would grab my attention if you said “closer to the pin”, or if you really want me to get excited tell me how I will get more consistent. There is no doubt your swing looks incredibly smooth and effortless, although you would have to sell the head move pretty hard to me. The head thing, to me anyway, says way too much letting go than I am even willing to think about. I have worked with my current coach for almost two years now. When I started going to him I was playing to a 9. He showed me my swing on video and I almost dropped dead from embarrassment, I couldn’t believe that was my swing. We made some huge swing changes, I made a commitment to stick with them, and my handicap actually went up to around a 15 before things started to come together. Personally I don’t think I could mentally take another round of swing changes, but that’s not to say that it’s not the right program for others, obviously subpar is sold. If you had to break it down, who would you say your program is best suited for? Is it the guy that needs more distance (not wants it, there’s a difference)? Is it for the low handicap player that needs help now that the window of opportunity small? Finally… the 3 wood from the deck….. it definitely looked like you hit it a little chubby… well?????? Oh and welcome to the Forum
  7. Mine is: Pick a target a coupl eof feet in front of the ball Align Club with target (right hand on club 99% of the time, left hand on if I need to keep the ball low, it makes me set up a little closed) Take stance Look at line of feet Look at target Swing Then the obvious: Swear Mutter too self Give my playing partner a superman laser glare as he says good shot (because I know it didnt do anything I wanted it too) Walk to ball and start over
  8. I figured it out...... that was his "I'm too far out, I'm just gonna lay up" swing
  9. ya but come on geezer, give the man his dues. Who else could hold a pose for that long with a smile on his face after hitting a fat 3 wood from the deck?
  10. do you play the 13 or 15 degree? I have hit the 13 and loved it. Also what shaft are you using?
  11. I switched from the R5. I know the shaft had a lot to do with it but the face on the Hi Bore is definitely hotter
  12. I went with 9.5 with the red shaft. At the fitting I was told to go with red 9.5 or gold 8.5. I liked the feel of the red better.
  13. I switched to the Hi Bore XL this year from a Taylormade driver and havent looked back since. I hit the Hi Bore longer, with a much better ball flight.
  14. give it a try, at this point you have nothing to lose.
  15. A lot better than I did when it was 15 a day
  16. oh to be a bottle of water
  17. Last weekend at the Boise Open (Nationwide Tour) we saw a 250 yard fairway bunker shot with a 3 wood to hit the par five 16th in two. Dunno who the player was but it was a hell of a shot
  18. gotta love the onion...... "Green piece releases dolphins into the rain forest" LMAO
  19. I would say they are both under a ton of pressure, but for different reasons. The fringe player is trying to get a pay check. Tiger is trying to live up his and everyone else’s expectations.
  20. I had the old ping SI3 driver that did the same. I took it into the shop and they sent it to ping. I had to pay the shipping to ping but that was it
  21. 2006 Ford Taurus for me. Nothing fancy I know, but I like it
  22. Tea if it’s the tea my mum sends over. Otherwise its coffee..... Too much coffee. I have cut down to about 6 cups a day now. This time of year I will generally grab a coffee on my way to the course.
  23. I dont really drink much but if I am going to have a beer it has to be Newcastle Brown Ale. If there isnt any Newcastle I'll stick to my diet pepsi
  24. I'm 38 for two more months. I've been back to playing for 3 or 4 years now. I used to play a lot in England, but then when I moved over here I decided to sell my clubs and buy new ones once I landed wherever over here. Well it didn’t happen and I didn’t play for 12 years. Then one day some guys were going golfing and invited me. I shot something like 3,453 but was totally hooked again in one round...... the rest is history
  25. I was born and raise in the UK
