  1. I understand but i myself wont know what looks right/wrong without contact of a ball and seeing output. I dont know enough about swing form etc. That'll do the trick better than I could do it myself
  2. Low ceilings across the house, i can use the garden but its small and shared with animals, washing wire also cuts space. I can and do chip stuff but its more full swing im looking at. Again happy to do the videos for the thread but that is a delayed as opposed to live feedback.
  3. The objective is realtime feedback on my rotation/swing, i dont have space for a fulllength mirror (and my wife would go crazy if i install one on the wall) or a even a garden net etc. Video is fine but it relies on my supplying it to a thirdparty and waiting on feedback as i cant self analayze myself i dont have the knowledge of someone like yourself. Im aware it wont be a perfect solution but looking for anything that can assist/guide. I will still be going to the range as frequently as i can this is something i can do on my lunch break in my house though.
  4. I just got let down on an ambitious purchase (my golf swing trainer for wii) as it doesnt support left handed players. I can still use TW games but not as good analysis of the swing. As a result im on the hunt for some form of budget home aid so i can practice on my lunch and get meaningful feedback. As i cant always get to the range through the week. Phigolf/Phigolf2 are showing up alot in my search it says left hand support is available particularly on the wgt edition. The bluetooth device i can also attach to my clubs when i hit the range. Im aware nothing will replace hitting balls, but anyone have this device and use it? Open to other recommendations.
  5. Just picked up a wii for kids and picking up 'my personal golf swing trainer' to see how it goes. Saw these but cant track them down for sale, will make it easier to do drills on my lunch break and figured it's better to hold an actual grip than the wii remote. Anyone got one collecting dust?
  6. Another day on the simulator. Tried a fancier course but my ability to drive the ball is useless, i have no power at the minute. My best shot being 120yds from the rough to the green clearing a tree by around 2ft perfectly, decided best bet to focus on shorter holes so we reverted to 9holes 3par to work on shorter shots. Alot of 2puts so made to the green in 2shots, couple of my approach shots were on the fringe so putted onto green which was a bit frustrating but felt much better with PW/SW. Finally have update on my back/leg issue. I have a multiple severe broadbased disc bulges across S1/L3/L4/L5 putting pressure on my L4/L5 nerve routes. Also have a severe spinal cord stenosis on my L4/L5. Being schedule with a neurosurgical specialist to review options but op is likely due to severity. Good to finally have a firm diagnosis and after should see recovery should see muvh more fluid rotation and generate more power and more length.
  7. My local course (arbroath) is a links course and ill be starting out october so high wind, frozen grounds and boggy roughs to look forward to. Needing to figure out how to control direction early if im going to cope with the wind along the coast. Ive took the time to work the course and its night and day compared to the pga courses that look like perfectly trimmed astroturf I see on tv
  8. I would love them to adjust the timing it ran from 5pm-11pm for me in the UK which is peak family time and none of them want golf on the tv. I can manage an hour or two at the beginning and catch the last hour but the rest is catchup. If they shift it earlier i can watch in peace whilst i work in an empty house
  9. Hoping Rory is ok tbh but im wanting Fitzpatrick to take this. Hes not had an amazing year but hes quickly becoming one of my favorites. I know most dont seem keen on the starting offset but considering Rory and Scottie didnt have a great round one I think it could make for an interesting weekend. Not going to comment on easy/hard i could have a tube straight to the hole and still shoot +50
  10. Just bought a set of irons 4-sw (8). After hunting for the month for second hand clubs found they were coming in a bit high for the budget I set (or dead clubs), typically mixed bag at £50+delivery, so instead I picked up the cobra fly xl set new instead for £250. Cant argue at £31 a club inc deliver. Seen plenty of reviews on them that say the irons were solid for a newbie but avoid driver/putter so hopefully these will do me whilst i learn the game. The only tip was I may need an additional wedge with more loft but will see how i get on before dropping more money. Next month is my off-season course fee's and i dont want to incur wrath of the wife.
  11. Did 18holes on the simulator, old course. Dont have words for how bad I was. Longest drive: 192.7yards Average: 136.7yards 31% fairway hit, 63% slice left Despite the very bad play, my PW was good from 50-90yards fairly accurately getting me on green. It was the multiple horrofic shots getting me within that range that was the problem. Really struggling to get any power through, especially with a wider stance for longer clubs. Keep missing opportunity to record videos. Fortunately doctors tomorrow to look at my back and hopefully get MRI scheduled, once this is fixed will be booking with the club pro for some 1-2-1 coaching.
  12. A while since the last update, no video but i tried out simulator. My best driver being 202yd (177carry) total with a 47l (club path -1.6, face angle -8.3), 2481spin. Noticed my swing speed sits around the 70-75mph mark. Im expecting that will improve when my pain finally goes. Tried a quick 9 (with autoput) on a training course and wasnt as bad as i expected until water kicked in then I couldnt carry 90-100yds with my 8iron which normally i can. Booked to go back next week for 18holes with my son. So will track that properly. In the mean time alot to work on. Primarily focused on trying to reduce my slice and less on distance, i feel its to do with my body rotating to far round but will need to get video to review.
  13. Ive already spoke to the local pro, will be arranging some when i become a member of local club. Ive just booked my first shot on the simulator this weekend so i can work out my ranges for each club properly and see what needs worked on first (there is alot to improve)
  14. LH Callaway XR driver (used), snapped it up on ebay for £53 - face is a 7 or 8/10, sky mark on head but nothing that'll annoy me. Sat waiting for it to arrive and scheduling some time with simulator.
  15. Just a quick follow up to say i took onboard the advice. Ive been checking out second hand clubs instead. Ebay snipers driving me up the wall though so will see how long my patience holds out.
