Ahhhh, the old voice in the head! i for one struggled a great deal with this back when i was a teenager, i expected nothing but the best from myself and anytime i didnt produce a quality shot, the voice started. these days i still expect exellence from my self on the golf course but failure to produce a quality shot does result in more poor shots. now i simply shake it off, might drop a few 4 letter words here and there. but everytime i want to throw my club or burry the head of my putter in the green, i just say "gotta make that one up later" and MOVE ON! p.s. this does not work if money is at stake! lol

(raises hand) I love to hunt as well!

ill use the alignment marker on the side of the ball if i am struggling, but for the most part i dont, my putting game is all about fell for me, i find a line with my eye starting at the hole and follow it all the way back to my ball, and trust it. i find that when i get too worried about the line my putting goes to crap!

ive been to one here in Shanghai called Urban18, its really cool. there simulators are made by a company Full Swing. basically there are around 700 lasers inside the stall. and their putting simulation works like this, the simulator generates a line that runs from the hole to the very bottom of the screen and then you have to putt the the ball at the line on the bottom of the screen with correct speed. The matts they use are pretty cool they flat area to simulate tee box and fairway conditions, an area with longer/taller stands to simulate rough, and an area with super fine long hairs that are white, this simulates bunkers. you can even set up long drive competitions as well CTP competitions. i really enjoyed my time there! there are leauge nights and monthly tournaments. and as far as price goes i was told by the manager that the simulators cost about 50,000 USD, the bulk of the price is the software. but that includied shipping across the ocean to China, so not sure about US prices. i ended up making really good friends with the manager and we play golf be it simulated or real as much as we can, if you any questions let me know and i will pass them along to him. here is a link to their site, as you can see they have done way more than just a golfing experince with a bar and resteraunt with TV's to keep ur significant other occupied, and if the booze or the TV wont hold her attention they are conviently located inside a shopping mall. http://www.urban18golf.com

the past few rounds i have missed more than my fair share of birdie chances due to the ball hitting the green and having the spin carry it off the green! if the conditions are right it can spin more than 15-20 feet in some cases! does anyone else have this problem and if so how do cure it? harder ball? thanks in advance for the help.

MP 53 or AP2 or MP 63 or Cally X forged
andymane replied to Jkwakopo's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
well if you are looking for a club with more feedback and that has less forgiveness that X-24's, i would recomemend AP2's. More of a players iron, but still has SOME forgiveness.....i personally switched from MP30's to AP2's a few months back, love the AP2's! ball just seems to fly perfect for me. -
thanks for all the feedback, its my buddies driver and i told him i would ask all you guys and see what u said. im sure he has the right torque wrench.

are any of you having trouble with the screws coming loose on the driver or fairway woods? particularly the one for FCT.?? thanks

Well of course like you stated, the way it looks is always the first thing you notice. But for me i think its things like, elavation changes, sloping fairways, layout of hazards, i like a course that really makes you think about your next shot. and i also like courses that make you utilize EVERY club in the bag. yeah its nice to stand on the tee box of a hole that has a huge fairway and minimal hazards, but i also appreciate being forced to use something other than my driver from the tee, makes you better as a player i believe. cant wait to hear what the other think a great course consist of.........

How easy/hard is it to regrip you clubs.
andymane replied to Mrd19abhs's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i regrip my own clubs all the time, its something i enjoy doing really. so if its something that you wanna do yourself go for it, i like your idea about only trying one at first. but on the other hand its also really easy to have it done buy a club tech, ive seen guys change a whole set in half an hour........ -
haha thats what i keep rubbing in his face lol...... some people just have to learn the hard way.
-
haha the first swing he took with it we heard a loud thwack on the downswing, before he even made contact with the ball! inspected the shaft and found a hairline fracture!!!

A friend of mine was dying to get his hands on the new SUPERDEEP and refused to wait till he had enough cash saved and buy from a legit licensed retailer and just bought one online from some ridiculously discounted shop, i told him over and over to wait, but did he listen????? nope...... in the attached pictures you will a REAL TalylorMade SUPERTRI, a REAL TaylorMade SUPERDEEP, and you will also see what my buddy got in the mail today, witch is clearly a fake, also the torque wrench isent a torque wrench lol just a fancy handled hex bit screwdriver! lol i had to share this with you guys just in case u have been thinking about taking the discounted road!! other than the fact the its a total fake, its still a good looking club..... ( if you are having trouble seeing the problem) * the white graphic on the REAL SUPERTRI is two pieces with a weight insert separating the two lines. * the white graphic on the REAL SUPERDEEP is one solid U shapped line. * the white graphic on the impostor has the name SUPERDEEP but the graphics of a SUPERTRI...... i mean this is a fake right guys!? ive never seen one like this........

also something i do before i have an early tee time, i get everything i need for that day ready the night before. i do this to eleiminate that frustrating feeling of not being able to find the matching sock of your favorite pair, forgetting keys, wallet, anything, the last thing i want before a nice early morning round is to be pissed off before i even leave the house!!!

kool cant wait to go hit that thing this weekend!

Personally, scrambles have helped me a lot in the confidence department. i also like that little bit of competitiveness between me and my team mates. it seems to make me play better when they guys im playing are sticking approaches like lawn darts, and draining putts. but as the others have mentioned, dont let the relaxed style of the scramble format get in the way of your concentration. all in all scrambles are meant to be fun!!!

need some opinions from you guys on TaylorMade's R9 SUPERTRI, i really want one, any thing bad i should know that i wont see in a demo?? thanks in advance!

Talbright, not a bad lookin swing you got there. yes, i do beleive the ball is too forward in your stance for an iron shot....try to center that up.
