  1. What's with the settings for the country club tourney? Swing meter and green grid off? Spin on? Why not just set it to tour pro settings, caddy off, no spin, breezy, tournament course conditions, hard or expert pins, long rough. Would be a good challenge for everyone.
  2. Absolutely the funniest part of the video. lol
  3. I sprained my meniscus in my right leg about a month ago, and I don't trust it enough to transfer my weight onto it. Makes it tough to make a consistent move.
  4. I went -16,-11,-18, & -19 in the 4 rounds using a controller. It looks bad on the leader board because I've done all 4 rounds. Someone else already went -15 in their 1st round, meaning I'd have a 1 shot lead on day one. It'll be closer when everyone finishes. Playing more and putting your xp in distance will help you hit it further. Doing sponsor challenges and unlocking new equipment helps too. My guy has a 78 in power and hits it about 280.
  5. As the guy who posted the -64, I didn't actually use the spin. I didn't even realize it was on until halfway through the 3rd round. I always set my shots to land soft, and the course having slow conditions with almost no wind made it easy. Didn't hurt that it was at Sawgrass (one of my favorites) where I have the gold mastery. Perhaps the next tourney could have at least fast conditions to make it a little challenging? Also, turn off putt previews.
  6. I shot a 75 today on a tough course (7024yds, 74.5/142 slope). I felt like I was in control of the golf ball today. When I wanted a draw, it came around. When I wanted to hit it high, it elevated and rode the wind. I only hit 6 GIR's but made up for it with a hot putter (only 24 putts today). Just a quality round. Today was a good day...
  7. Adidas 4.0's here. I had a good pair of Footjoys that I liked but they just didn't fit my feet perfect. I like both brands, I love the classic look of the high end Footjoys though.
  8. I think Title IV is awful. Women's sports don't generate nearly the revenue that men's do, yet they're entitled to equal funding across the board? Men's golf is just more exciting to watch. With both sexes on at the same time, most people tune into the PGA tour.
  9. New (and poor) golfers could save themselves a whole lot of strokes by just playing within themselves and avoiding big numbers. However, so many fall into the traps of thinking they have to hit driver off the tee or try to hit the miracle shot out of the rough. All most of them do is bring double, triple, or worse into play...
  10. The 2 3/4" tees are fine as long as the ground isn't too sandy. 3+" tees are just too long for anything other than a driver. I usually search for a broken tee on any hole I hit an iron off the tee.
  11. It depends. If the flag is laying on the other side of the hole from where I putted AND on the opposite side as my bag, I let the next guy grab it so I don't walk through someone's line or have to walk all the way around the outside of the green while people are putting. However, if I pulled it I'm usually the one to put it back.
  12. Sunday I had three shots that stuck out in my mind. On 9, I was able to feel confident AND loose over the driver and shaved a dogleg on a 470 yd par 4 leaving myself a short wedge onto the green. On 15, I was able to hit a choked-down PW into the wind to an elevated green, and control the trajectory so as not to spin it back off the green's false front. A hard gap wedge rips back off that green and 20yds down the fairways there (ask me how I know lol) On 18, I was able to hit a high draw from 200 that took the exact line I envisioned, landed next to the hole, and just released off the back of the green. Had an easy up and down for a tap in Birdie to end the round. Those are the shots that keep you coming back for more...
  13. I'm sure it's a combination of them having tweaked irons and also the fact that they make almost pure contact every swing...
  14. 14 way divider on the bag. I had to separate them since they didn't play well together...
  15. I did this exact same thing. Many more options in the short game now...
  16. My home course is over-watered pretty regularly. I've had to pull my drives out of more embedded lies than I care to count lol.
  17. No. I feel like I have to throttle back to maintain some semblance of control. (My SS with a driver averages approx 115)

    18 or 36

I would play 27-36 in my younger days, but I've been sticking to 18 lately.
  19. I play the most with my 17 year old brother, and sometimes he wants to continue our conversations as we're teeing off. I just look at him and say, "Let me hit this shot and I'll be happy to keep talking to you." It's a polite reminder to shut the hell up lol.
  20. I play midsize new decade's on all my clubs. The smaller grips just never fit well into my fingers.
  21. Off the tee I try to hit whatever will leave me between 110-150 in while taking trouble out of play. I will go for short par 4's though... On approaches I try to avoid short-siding myself by controlling how much I draw the ball in and spin it. Long/medium putts I try to let die into the hole, short putts I play to the back of the jar. It sounds so simple... lol
  22. I'm trying hard to walk more, but I need a cart about every 4th round to take the stress off my knees.
  23. Congrats man! I haven't made one yet, but I've had 4 makeable putts for it in the last couple of weeks. I've been playing more aggressive from 250 and in on par 5's.
  24. I simply can't forget where I'm at in relation to par during a round. I've gotten to where I don't get too excited by where I'm at though...
