  1. So, this doesn't seem like a bad fitting to me. First of all the driver you were fit for is ideal numbers for that swing speed. Secondly swing speed isn't the only factor when determining what is the right shaft flex for you. My guess is that with a stiff flex you would of been spinning the ball a little too much. I agree that this may not of been the best fitting in the world as the salesman did not inform you of what he was doing. On the other hand he seemes to know what he is doing as that seems to be the perfect driver fit for you.
  2. I have actually done this before execpt in my case my friend hit his tee shot then I proceeded to hit mine and it landed right on top of his.
  3. Trump needs advertising how else is he gonna get people to come play his courses. Of course his advertising is simply I'm Donald Trump so you should come play. But hey both techniques work they Augusta and Donald Trump are very successful.
  4. M: 13 Rory M. 65
  5. I hit driver more than I need to because hitting the fairway is not very important to me. If I hit my driver in play I am perfectly fine with that, greens and putts are the most important part of golf.
  6. On the PGA tour it has ultimatly come down to a putting contest. The groove change was a good try by the USGA but they have to realize that it was a fail. The pros still bomb away at the ball when they get the chance. I personally don't like the fact that the hacks and pros no longer play by the same rules.
  7. I will gladly take those Bridgestone balls off your hands so you don't have to look at them.
  8. Sometimes you just gotta accept a bogey. If your worst hole is a bogey you're doing pretty good. I am a 6 handicap and my goal each round is nothing worse than a bogey. Bogies dont kill rounds doubles and worse will.
  9. People talk about there's no way a 20 handicapper can drive it 280+, first of all who really cares of far some guy on the internet hits the ball. Secondly there is a lot of factors that go into how far the ball is hit, there is elevation, temp, how fast the fairways are. Im a 6 handicap and my better drives are around 280 and I play pretty close to sea level and on good fairways but definatly not real fast.
  10. I question the carry distance but thats not important when doing a fitting. The 11.5* of launch you're getting out of the 10.5* is perfect for your swing speed and ball speed. Compare your I15 with the 10.5 G15 on the simulator and post it.
  11. I went ahead and booked ASU Karsten and Longbow. I'm actually gonna be playng longbow on my 18th birthday which I didnt even realize until I booked it earlier today.
  12. I hit about 20 shots with the 7 iron and I was really surprised by the look of it in a good way. Impact felt solid. the A7's would be a very good club for your handicap and even when you improve I dont feel like your gonna be wishing you had more of a players club.
  13. Just based on what you wrote my best guess would be that you are hitting up on the ball by either leaning back at impact or the wrists are flipping too soon and causing a backward shaft lean, instead of forward.
  14. During my February vacation I'm going to Arizona to visit Arizona State. While I'm there I have to play some golf as there is way too much snow here in Boston. Anyways we will be staying in Mesa and I plan on playing at ASU Karsten, Longbow and maybe one more. Does anyone have reviews on the courses and or recommendations for a third. Thanks guys

  17. Thank you this clears it up for me as I would be pushing the ball.
  18. I play a Fisher putter and when a ball is dragged along the green with it the ball sticks to the face. My teaching pro and I were messing around at work one day as it is dead at a golf store this time of year in MA, we where hitting putts by setting the club behind the ball and pushing it forward. I was wondering if this is legal or not because the ball is only making contact with the putter once until it is released? This is not an attempt to gain any sort of advantage it is just a question purely based on curiosity. Thanks if anyone knows
  19. I am currently in the college process as well and I got into the PGM program at methodist. From what I have heard, they have a great golf program but the "college life" sucks. There are no women and it is not a fun school. If you want a the college experience like me consider Arizona State or Clemson, which both have PGM programs. In terms of the college experience Coastal Carolina is another school with the PGM program is inbetween the others. Here is a list of the PGM schools http://pgajobfinder.pgalinks.com/helpwanted/empcenter/pgaandyou/universities.cfm p.s. make sure you visit the colleges you are applying to before you commit.
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, the program Im looking to pursue is Professional Golf Management which all of these schools offer except High Point. I am planning to visit ASU and Clemson later on this year.
  21. Look Adams new & old speedine drivers. Before these they never had much of a name in driver department but now Id put them up there with the best of them.
  22. I recently got into Arizona State, Coastal Carolina, Methodist, and High Point. I am waiting to hear back from my reach school, Clemson. I was wondering if any of you guys have any input on the previously mentioned colleges. I am planning to go to Clemson if I get in and if not it's Im between Coastal Carolina & ASU. Thanks.
  23. I tried it when I started to get serious about golf and I thought it had good weighting but I just couldnt aim with it. The 2 ball alignment just was not for me.
  24. Personally I think the reason for better players to use Player's irons is distance control. In fact I believe it was PING who was doing testing with their SGI/GI clubs and noticed that even when the ball was stuck in the sweet spot with a robot, there was a 10 yard difference in the same conditions which they couldnt explain.
  25. Eagle Mountain is another fun course to play.
