In addition, if the ball position is too far back, this may be the cause of the steep angle of attack.

I seriously LOL'd on that one.

Would you take lessons from a Pro that doesnt use Video?
DBC replied to DBC's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Opps sorry guys, the No answer is slightly confusing, but I hope you all understand. Ive tried to change the option, butI dont see where to do that. This all started when I went to see my first Pro, he told me he feels he canconvey everythng without the use of a Video camera. So far my lessons are going good, but I do wish I could see myself on video, at least get that out of my mind. -
Steel, thats an awesome tip. Thanks.

Do you have the Stack and Tilt DVD's? Remember that drill where he likes to put Tee's under his armpits to keep them closer to the body? I'd say give that a try first.

Gotta love Single speeds!

Releasing the Accumulators in Stack and tilt.
DBC replied to DBC's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Just in case some people have no clue what I was talking about, the yellow line in the 3rd pic iswhat I am asking about. It is unclear to me if this are should be slightly bent or straight. -
During the downswing, is your right arm supposed to be LOCKED open or FLEXED slightly when the club reaches parallel to the ground? If its fully released, that would be similar to just letting your arms hang down. After watching DVD #2 last night Im a bit confused on where my arm should be.

I didnt see your response until now. Im shocked at your offer. MiniBlueDragon has also offered to help me out. I have the first 2 DVD's and I am working on the other two. You two guys are first class all the way in my book. Thanks for the offer! P.S. I will also be traveling to Chicago this summer. I would be interested in a class around July/Aug. Quote: I'd be happy to purchase and ship DVDs to you if you're unable to get them some other way. Send me a PM if that's okay. Quite honestly, I think traveling to Eastern Africa might be cost prohibitive. -
My cousin "sits" down like he's in a chair. The putter handle ends up being as high as his croutch. So he then grabs the shaft low, and strokes away. Its hilarious to me but not to him.

I second that. The stock shaft in my R9 could be used to cane simba at the Big Top, its so whippy. A stiffer shaft is needed even for an average speed golfer.

Brand New Callaway Diablo Edge *heads only* value?
DBC replied to Dymo's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Sorry, I cant tell you the value, but I can tell you the forgiveness of these irons are unreal. I have a set, and its difficult to NOT hit it straight. -
Ah, thats a bit steep. Me personally I wouldnt do that. I think what would be more inportant would be what type of putter you have. ( i.e. straight back and through , or arc).

I want to thank everyone for helping me get started. Here is the pic that MiniBlueDragon sent me. Looks like a great preview.

P.S. I just got home from the local course trying the Stack and Tilt with my limited knowledge/experience, and I golfed my personal best on this course. Im really stoked about this system. Cant wait to get to the range some more.

Awesome. I just replied.

I found where I live ( Africa) 2 Stack and Tilt DVD's, #1 and #2, and there is some really good info on there. However I never got to learn how to Chip using this method ( if there is one). I doubt I will find DVD's #3, and #4 here. Is it possible to chip incorporating the S&T; method's?

I have been trying to piece together any information on the Stack And Tilt system thorugh this site and Youtube. Whatever I can find I really hope someday you can visit me in Eastern Africa. Or at least ship some DVD's here. We are starving for information. Thanks -
Is it High, Mid, or Low? At the range today,I put my camera behind me on the ground and saw my takeaway VERY steep. Came home and had my wife hold the camera high and it showed my takeaway flat as heck. Which angle should be best for video analysis?

I understand the reasoning for not wanting to get an app instead of a Rangefinder. Im in the same boat. I use a Rangefinder, because I can use that rangefinder anywhere I go. The golf app's are only useful on the golf course. I have Nikon 800S, and that thing is super fast. I dont like fiddling with stuff on the fairway, I always feel subconscious about others waiting on me. No regrets at all with it.

Last spring I was out near Rockford and it was snowing while we played. Started playing in 40 degree weather, but finished in 20 degree.
-
I have the Nikon 800S. I will never golf without it again.

Tell your dad Thanks for the advice. Next time I struggle, I will try to remember that story.

Mine wore off almost immediately but I admit they are knock-offs. One thing we have in common is the sandy/dusty environment. Here in Africa, there is no grass really.
