This years I have decided to make dramatic changes in my swing.
I used to be a picker of the ball and I panic inside the bunker every time.
My first day and I mean day because was all day of work.
First drill: Understand the bounce of the sand wedge.
So.... I drew a line in the bunker and hit the line with the bounce (vertically) trying to dig the bounce into the sand and beat the fear of digging. From there, I moved to swing and hit the line with the bounce and keep the face looking up the sky.
Then I swing dig the bounce into the ground and I took the same divot on the same spot. No ball today. But..... I beat the fear of ground and divot.
Next day I introduced the ball and without fear of the ground I started to play with how far behind or next to the ball the action was. I cried of happiness. I am not scared of bunker anymore but now understand how the different clubs work in relationship with differents lies.
