  1. I have been somewhat looking into a new wallet as well. I was curious about the ridge since none of my friends seems to carry them. I move to my old Sandtrap with money clip one when we are going out somewhere. I change when I am working though. Strange, I know...haha. I like the idea of the Ridge, but I also like the Bellroy you posted. I have not seen that one. I carry maybe 8 cards plus the driver's license and some cash
  2. A question I have is…this swing (fade, pull cut) does not feel as good and easily repeatable as the draw swing we were working on previously. I’m kinda in a weird spot where I do not know which direction will be the best to pursue. I like seeing a penetrating 5 yard draw but also like the thought of the fade not getting away from me as much. Any thoughts on that?
  3. I don’t know why my swing got so vertical there. That wasn’t normal. What did you mean by point 3? I get the hip turn portion.
  4. Hopefully this one is better
  5. Got it. No, he hasn’t asked for the angle, I can move that over and get another video. That really was a poor video. I’ll get another. Sorry about that.
  6. Here is one of my swings where I made what felt like good contact. This isn’t a full speed swing but maybe it should be because a big fault of mine is over swinging. So what im working on is, from A4 my first move has been hands going out toward the ball. This seems to have caused tons of inconsistencies for years. I’ve just made it work with decent hand eye coordination, I guess. Like I said previously, the swing thought/feel is from A4, the lead arm/hands drop down and back to start. Then I feel like my hands get as close to my quads as possible. I’ve never come close to this because my brain never believed contact could be made from there. Also, this all began when I decided to get the early extension and flipping out. Overall goal is a consistent swing and ball flight and get into some tournament play and get competitive in my club championship. Hope I get this right, I haven’t done it in a while. Disregard the pants…I got hot in the garage..😀 I also thought I clicked the audio off on the video but obviously did not.
  7. 100%. Currently, it takes me several shots of various progressions to make my brain even trust that it will work. It is so opposite from the feelings I have had for years. And forget about adding any speed at the moment. That is just a recipe to fall back on the old habit
  8. I am going to get this thread going once again. I will get a good current swing video either this week or this weekend. I am working with a local instructor and have been with him for quite some time working on various things. The current issue that seems to have crept back in (and has had me in such a funk lately) is from the top of the back swing, my first move seems to be to pull my hands/butt of the golf club towards the ball. This seems to have been causing the majority of my hosel contact. So he has me working on the first move from the top feeling as though the hands drop down and almost back. The feel I have on my good swing is getting the hands as close to my quads as possible while turning. For the follow through, he wants me to hold the club face off and not allow it to turn over. We have been working to eliminate the early extension and flip that has been a forever issue in my swing. Goal "in his words" is for me to end up hitting a slight pull cut. I hope that makes sense. I will get a video up as soon as I can.
  9. Will do. I am in constant contact with him. Almost on a daily basis. Sorry for the thread hijack. I'll move to my swing thread.
  10. I actually know a "GREAT" instructor (albeit quite a distance away) and have access to the best member swing thread...😄. But, yes I am working with an instructor. He is the one that is giving me the drills and up until this last drill, it was really going great. Something about the last drill has gotten me into the worst funk I have experienced in quite some time. I have a couple of ideas that hit me last night that I am going to try over the weekend. If that doesn't seem to resolve the issue, my member thread will for sure get reinstated. I really wish PA was not so far away. I would LOVE to be able to work with you one on one in person with regularity.
  11. I will say, I have been working some drills over the winter to get rid of some swing flaws and I am now in a funk...the worst I have been in for probably 10 years. It has been/is VERY frustrating at the moment. So much so that I do not even want to go play until I figure it out. Having said that, I keep telling myself that I have a good swing and this is just a mental funk (probably over thinking way too much stuff) and that I have got to get out of my own way. I say this to say that I very much sympathize with you but just look for that positive mindset and fight through it. I know I am going to get past this and the drills will have been for the better overall. I just have to be patient and let the storm pass...haha
  12. I agree with there being many aspects in which you could still be connected to golf IF you weren't able to play. I would try my best to not give up on playing yet though. Give it some time, be as positive as you can be (I know that is easier said than done sometimes), and try not to mentally give up on it.
  13. The increase in most events is nuts. As you say, concert tickets are crazy. Ok seats for 3 at a concert now are going to be 750-1000.00 just for the tickets. Then everything else is overpriced as well. The Ryder Cup would be a cool experience but not enough value for me
  14. Wish I had experience in that area. I'd be interested.
  15. Good choice. I have been through the same as well. I think the biggest thing that helped me was just remembering that it is just a game. We do not do this as a profession, so going through these tough spells is just golf for an amateur. I figured out where I needed the most help, hammered those areas and it got better. Just remember how good you used to play. You know you can do it. You have just gotten in a funk. You have the ability to work yourself out of it.
