I have been spending a lot of time over at Swing Academy looking at a lot of analysis of golf swings. One thing a particular person emphasizes is the spine angle. He promotes an angle of about 60 to 65 degrees from the ground. A large percentage of people I see analyze seem to be in the 50 to 55 degree range (more bent over). Wouldn't your angle depend on whether you are a one planer or two planer? What is you opinion of the spine angle and where it should be?

yes, spine angle is one of the main differences Hardy uses to distinguish between 1 plane and 2 plane. it is more standard to measure it from vertical. a 1 planer is 35-45* from vertical and a two planer is more upright at 10-25*.
i am working on a modified one plane swing right now and i feel extremely upright when i am anywhere < 35*.

I don't have a lot of confidence in swing thoeries that advocate one angle or one approach for every body type. I can believe things like "more" or "less" spine angle, but not 42.75* or what ever. But I do believe this idea focusses on a key swing element, being aware of your spine angle and maintaining that angle throughout the swing. Just my take.
