Im going to buy a new hybrid today, im down to 2 choices

Nickent 5dx 24.5* vs Mizuno clk fli hi 26* in steel

ive read amazing reviews about the Nickent, and the mizuno.

these clubs are not available to demo here, What do you guys think of the mizuno in steel? Should it be easier to hit and control since its steel?

What would you chose?

It depends on what you're looking for. I play 3 Mizuno irons, the 17* (2H) in steel and the 23* and 26* in graphite. If control is your main interest then steel is a good choice. I use my 17* off the tee as alternative driver and like the steel because of a lower trajectory and I at least feel more in control. With the other 2 I like graphite because I want them to fly high and land soft. The 17* probably plays more like a 20* (3H) because of the steel and that's how I use it because the difference in distance between my 17* and 23* is only about 10-15 yards. If you are trying to fill a gap for a specific distance then you'll need to decide what that distance is and fill with the club. The Nickent is probaly going to be 15+ yards longer due to graphite (I am assuming it's graphite since you do not specifically say) and the lower loft. I love my Mizuno and never really cared for the feel of the Nickent's but I know plenty of people love them as well.

thanks for the reply, i have a diablo 21* hybrid and a Nike sumo 30 hybrid. So i was looking for something to fill the gaps with. Was just worried the mizuno in steel carry the same as the nike 30 graphite hybrid. But i do love the idea of a steal hybrid, i like control.

    • I do not follow amateur or Korn Ferry tour but this story might get me to pay attention. At age 15 to be as accomplished as he is makes me think we may be seeing a future star.  A story of him breaking out may help reinvigorate golf viewership. • Day 55: 4/18/2024 Got to the range again today. Planned to do my priority pieces and then hit targets with irons. But after my priority pieces I hit a few drives and tugged them all hard left. .... Uh... oh boy.  So, I spent about a half hour trying to hit targets at the range with my driver.

    • OPPs, I guess I have been doing the drill incorrectly, just ignore this.  But as they say, mistakes are learning opportunities. Let’s hope I can learn from mine.
