I have been thinking of switching to Stiff shafts due to my woods feeling real whippy.
I bought a Nike Sumo Hybrid with s stiff stock shaft and go the chance to hit it today and damn I was hitting this better, much more boring flight, no sudden dive to the right at the end of the flight, just nice and straight and solid contact.
I really felt like I could give it a full swing without it feeling like a fishing rod which was great.

I wanted to try a stiff shaft for my Str8-Fit driver as well so tested a VR Str8-Fit which had a stiff shaft in it, it was a dark blue with nothing other than Projext X 6.0 on it.
The difference was the same as with the hybrid, shots were far more boring with a lower flight and no where near as much spin, again I could really hit into the ball without worrying about it ballooning or spinning off.

So I thought that is good, I can just get a stiff shaft off Nike (the Axiv Core Stock one but in stiff which should be similar to the Project X 6.0 which is a mid-stiff) that will just slot into my Str8-Fit head, issue is that Nike will not just send this shaft to my shop, they want me to send the driver off and they will fit the shaft (screw it in like users do every time they adjust it) and send it back, which is a joke IMHO, so I am torn what to do?

I can get a stiff 3 wood cheap enough to replace the one I have but don't want to buy a new driver.

Irons are a different story, I would only change my 4-PW at a later stage as I cannot afford new irons (does not make financial sense to swap the shafts out) so will stick with these at least until end of the season.

Guess the quest begins for a Str8-Fit Dymo shaft in stiff with a beat up head....

Nike want £72 for the shaft as well!
I found a SQ Dymo Str8-Fit in a 9.5 with the Stiff Axiv Core 59 for £119 (brand new in a golf shop online) so I bought it

Just need to win the eBay auction I am watching for a Nike SQ Sumo 3 Wood, with a Pro Launch Red Stiff shaft on, these 3 woods are hard to find man!

Well I won the Nike SQ Sumo 3 wood on eBay £62

Played today and hit the hybrid with the stiff shaft so well, I cannot wait to get the driver with the stiff shaft delivered this week, along with the 3 wood

Golfcircuit.com sales the shafts for the Str8 fit drivers with the hosel already on them. Than have several shaft options also and a wide range of prices. This would be easier than going through NIKE. Hope this helps.
