I am a beginer looking to purchase some equipment and was curious as to which type of bag, stand or cart,  I should purchase and was wondering what type of bag everyone uses and why.

your biggest thing you failed to mention is what you prefer to do...walk...or ride. if you like to walk your choice is obvious. if you're the type to always ride a cart, obviously the cart bag. if you're hopefully going to do both...i'd suggest stand. last thing you wanna do is be carrying around a cart bag for 18 holes.

 

I have both, i have my staff bag b/c if i'm riding or on travel, i can put so much shiesse in that thing it's ridiculous. i have my stand bag b/c i love to get in 9 holes after work almost religiously 3-4 times a week...weekends i use the staff since i'm usually riding a cart with my pops or my fiancee.

I use an OGIO Kingpin Cart bag. If you plan on walking, use a stand bag or buy a push/pull cart to use with a cart bag.

It depends upon whether you walk or ride.  I always either take a cart or use a pull cart to carry my clubs, so its cart bag for me.  I dont have much use for the legs that flip out.
