I previously got down to a 6 handicap but haven't been playing too much the last few years. I can still average about 12 over par on a moderate course. But I am new in northern Atlanta and want to get back into golf more seriously. My previous set of clubs was Big Bertha and Titleist DCI irons. I am looking for advice on new golf clubs and even possible golf clubs to join.

I read a lot of good reviews on Taylor Made. I am sort of thinking: R11 driver plus 3 wood, 2-PW,SW R9 TP irons stiff graphite shafts, cleveland 60 degree wedge. Not really into the hybrids. As for putter, the one i liked in store: Ping Craz-e G5i. But with the thick grip on it. What do you think or what else should I consider?

I just picked up a R11 from a guy I golfed with in a Tournament. I paid $300 for the driver and a Odyssey Backstryke putter. Couldnt beat the deal. Sorry back on topic lol. I love the driver, it looks great and I think it hits even better. With my old driver I have a problem with skying the ball. The R11's adjustments to make it a lower loft acctually worked for me.

Irons not sure on the R9's I went with the burner 2.0's. I would suggest going to hit them. If your serious about getting back in go get fitted for them. My 2.0's are taking about 2 weeks to come in but they will be full custom.

Good luck

Mande
