hey gang, i just joined the forum.  i'm new to the game, and have been playing for a whole month now!  i have yet to actually go on a course and PLAY, but i have been taking lessons for the last 5 weeks.

i look forward to growing with the game and meeting all sorts of people in the process.

i fought the bug as long as i could, but when you're in "God's country" when it comes to golf (North Carolina), then it's pretty hard to fight the urge!  LOL

Nice to see another Charlottean on here. You gotta get out there on a course, brother! Sunset Hills in north Charlotte off Brookshire Freeway isn't the nicest course, but it's easy as all get out. My all-time low score is still at that course and I played it once. Pretty cheap too.

i will have to check that course out.  i live smack dab in the middle between CT myers and larkhaven, but i am all about some courses that are "easy as all get out"   :)

I'm a newb from NC too, only I'm in Raleigh. I took my username from the fact that "ionomer" doesn't mean anything when describing the material of a golf ball cover. An ionomer is one of many different chemical compounds.

I like science.

I'm originally from Indianapolis...hence the "indy" The "kappa" part of my username is in reference to my collegiate fraternity (Kappa Alpha Psi)
