I've been Playing Golf for: 1 season (approx. 10 rounds under my belt)
My current handicap index or average score is: Average score is 100
My typical ball flight is: Between fade and push slice
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Push slice and straight slice
I've been struggling with a slice that is getting better with time. Most of my shots have a slice to them - I am losing too many strokes to having balls start out fine and then slice high and into the woods (or push slice all together). Out of 18 holes, I will have 5-6 drives that are not playable. It is frustrating.
I have been starting to make a conscious effort of lagging the clubhead and releasing at the very last second before impact. That has helped to avoid push slices - sometimes I even do a slight pull that slices back in to end up in the middle of the fairway - only problem is that I lose distance on those shots. Some drives are straight as an arrow but most have some form of fade or slice.
In the video I notice that my left leg is turning in quite a bit and my left heel is coming off the ground aggressively (I am a baseball player!). Help!
Driver : Adams Speedline 9064LS with Aldila RIP Gamma Shaft in Stiff
My clubhead speed once warmed up ranges from 102 to 109 MPH. On flat terrain a good drive for me is 285 yards total but most often a mishit with some sidespin will yield a 225-245 total distance :(
