I don't generally have a problem of it. It's not the highest pitch, or the softest. He also generally lifts the heel a little off the ground (more vertical from the down-the-line view) too, which removes a little bounce. It's a slightly different type of shot. Kind of in the middle between the low spinner or chip and the higher, softer pitch.
