Turns out I was using the totally wrong putter in every way: face balanced, too short (I'm almost 6'3), wrong loft, the whole thing. They set me up with a TM Ardmore 3, and it's night and day. My putts actually go where I'm aiming! And my distance control is the best it's ever been. It also convinced me to get lessons and fittings for a new set of clubs.

Take it from a doubter: the hour is worth it.

I hope many people read your post. You might want to include at a later date how it [putting well] affects your total score.

      PGA Tour Makes Sweeping Changes Starting in 2028

      Interesting changes. The idea of relegation and promotion have always been there in a different form (getting and losing your card etc and qualifying for bigger events) but it looks like they want to define it better for top tier events. The Tour has always had A and B level events (and even lower). It will be interesting what they choose as the Challenger Series events and whether some tournaments go to the Challenger Series that used to be prestigious. Not sure how the networks will take to this knowing they have “Challenger” Series events defined that way now. Also, I’m not happy that John Henry and Theo Epstein are involved. Look what Henry has done to the Red Sox.

      I have been debating getting a launch monitor of some sort, if only so I can re-figure my shot zones (I haven't actually mapped them in years) and also to practice distance wedges at home.  I have to see if this works with either my current setup, or what my setup would be if I move it to the garage.
