wedge shaft length

I just reshafted my 60 degree wedge (some how after a bad shot the old shaft broke) and i left the shaft +1", I figure it will give me more room to tweak yardage by being able to choke up, down. Any negatives to doing this? I tend to use it between 80 and 60 yards, and flops and chips. I tend to use the whole length of the club when chipping but mostly chip with a sand wedge or p-wedge.

It really is up to you and your preferences. Being scoring clubs I like to have the most control possible, therefore I have all 3 wedges the same length as my SW. For me the shorter length promotes consistency and accuracy. I had a 60deg that was +1/2 and it just didn't work for me. Like I said before it's all what is comfortable for you.
