Moments on the Course That Made Your Day

What are some moments on the golf course that just make your entire day better, no matter how it’s going? Here’s my story:

A few of my teammates and I went up to Caswell Pines Golf Club (about ten miles from the NC/VA state line) and played in a fun scramble tournament to raise money for another school’s girls volleyball team. It was a shotgun start, and after the 9th hole (our 6th, there was a puttoff for a Yeti cooler. Anybody who made a 50-footer in two tries (three if you made a testy 6-footer first) putted off after the tournament for the cooler. With the entire girls volleyball team watching, I made the 50-footer on my last try. Already a good moment, it was made even better by the fact that I got to take a picture with the volleyball team! They call me Romeo for a reason! We were talking about that for the rest of the round. Turns out, two others made the putt over the course of the day. So after dinner, we walked back down to the green for another putt (not the same one as before). Drawing number 1 on the order of play, I left mine six feet to the right, which wasn’t near good enough. So, there you go. I’ve got the pic, so let me know if you want to see it!
