I just put on some of the PCI copper grips on my wedges and driver to try them out.

I have to say they are really nice grips, tacky yet not sticky, and they are not near as soft and mushy as the xi7 or dsi. The cord underneath really gives you a solid feel.

The copper is defintely different.....it's nice to look at once on the club....

I just regripped my entire set with the same ones. I played for the first time yesterday with them and was very happy. Great feel. Just enough tack and much more firm than their other grips. I have used various ones including their traditional wrap looking Excells and the polymer G8. I like these the most so far.

Side note. If you are regripping with these and not using a vice, make sure you really saturate the tape with solution. I had one that was a bear to get on and I was tearing up my hands getting this one on.

I heard winn's are harder to get on due to the inner core material...I doubled the tape...it was fun getting them on.

I have the G8 on my Driver and 56* just to try them out, and I like them. I'm probably going to end up regripping my irons with the PCI ones (probably black), do the copper ones look like they will bacome dirty fast?

I have played 4 rounds so far. They are a little black from my glove, which is black from my Adams stock grips. I think if you had all copper it wouldn't be a problem. I can use them w/o a glove, which I like a lot. There is a small area at the top that the polymer is getting chewed. I'll see how it holds up.

    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
    • Day 288 6-17 Low point control without ball. hit quite a few swing where i was wanting the club to hit the ground.  Added a ball with towel behind it, just to see where im at. Wasn't horrible but need some more work. Pretty much full speed swings.
    • Current state of the program.  I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.  So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.
    • Thanks for the video! Do you think a ball between the arms type of training aid would get me in a better position? I also have a Tour Striker Swing Trainer (PlaneMate-like contraption) if that could be helpful.
