Handicap and other goals for this season?

Well, I went to the range for the second time this season and hit some balls while teaching my lady how to hit them. Carrying driver about 270 dead straight.. solid irons and wedges. If I put well this summer I can see my index going down to a 1 or better. Currently set at 3 but that is from a couple years ago.
-The new irons feel awesome and I will be playing on a new course, which happens to be a lot flatter than my last course.

-Anyway... that's me... lets hear from you guys.. what are you playing to right now and what are your "realistic" goals for this season? Both handicap and any other possible goals.

-What do you plan on doing to obtain your goals?

My handicap index is compiled from 12 rounds I played last year. Only got to play for 1 month of the year. No problems or anything, just took two years off for no particular reason.

Well, I fell back in love with the game and bought some new gear, basically a whole new bag. Been to the range atleast 15 times since Feb. - basically on a first name basis with the guys there now. Absolultey love the new irons and I cant wait for my new driver to get here. Playing my old Quad now and am hitting it better than ever before.

Looking to take my index from 9 to around 5 or 4.

Really windy here today and it killed me at the range. Not going to do well in wind in the face conditions.
