Hey all-

I've been playing golf for about three years and absolutely love it. All my friends were serious players in high school and that wasn't exactly conducive to hacking around with them... when I got to college I decided to give it a shot, and like everyone here (I'm assuming) I totally got the bug.

Anyway, I'm 23 and have been playing for 3 years and am ready to get rid of my junky, poorly fitting, too stiff, graphite, Adams GT2 Undercut irons.

I've been thinking long and hard about a 5-AW R flex steel (I have a 4 hybrid I love) Geomax set from Tour Edge.

Everyone raves about their woods, and the warranty sounds great, but I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about these super game improvement irons.

Thanks again, any advice would be appreciated!

I'm a fan of Tour Edge, obviously. My Geomax driver and woods are honestly the best purchases I've made since I started playing... I've only briefly tested the geomax irons and thought they were pretty nice, if a bit bulky and heavy feeling...

The only way for you to get an idea if these clubs are right for you is to go to to pro-shop or store that will let you test them on a range. I'm fortunate to live less than half an hour from a great store, Fiddler's Green in Oregon, that will keep bringing you buckets of balls until you are tired of hitting the test clubs.

I didn't seriously consider purchase because I have some decent irons and it wasn't in my budget at the time.

When I do decide to get new irons, I'm going to seriously check out the Tour Edge Exotics because they look pretty sweet

What's in my bag:
Cleveland Hibore XLS Monster Driver
TourEdge Exotics 2,3,4 hybrid irons
Tommy Armour 845cs Silverbacks 5-PW
Assorted wedges, Ping Scottsdale Anser

I don't play with the Geomax irons but do use the Tour Edge Bazooka Iron/Woods as well as an Exotics driver. I like the irons and have been playing with them for about 2 1/2 years with no problems. Overall I think tour Edge is a pretty good buy.

Loyalty above all else, except honor.

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
