never buy that re-conditioned crap. a lot of them have messed up paint lines that really jack up your concentration....and a lot have nicks and scratches even though they're "AAA/near mint" condition

Amen to that! I've picked up some of those in bulk before, I still have quite a few that basically just take up space/weight in the bottom of my golf ball pocket of my bag.

Buy new, you won't regret it.

www.lostgolfballs.com

End of story!!!

I've been ordering from that site for 2 years now. 1st quality ProV1's look, play, and feel like brand new balls. The 2nd quality balls are mostly only 2nd quality because they have a logo of some sort on them. RARELY any kind of scuff or bruise or even a mark. I buy the second quality and cannot honestly tell between a new ProV1 and a 2nd quality ProV1 from lostgolfballs.com.

Yeah had a look there last night. Seems to be a million different ways of grading them though! The ones I buy in NZ usually have one or two scuffs on them but play fine but they cost at least $2 a ball. The pricing of the so called aaa+ aaa mixes is about right but not sure how good they will be. I'd hate to end up with 108 practice balls! It says balls have a scuffs or blemishes but no cuts. What ball doesnt after a few holes!

Anyone played this sort of quality ball?

That would be good but the shipping to NZ will kill that idea! I would end up paying more for shipping than the balls!

I kinda wish I had never hit a Pro V, now the old balls I used to play feel awful of the club.... So yeah, any experiences with the ebay used balls?

I received mint quality Pro V1xs from these guys. They were the cleanest balls I've ever bought on ebay. They were graded AAA+ and they were VERY clean. A few with logos but barely a scratch.

A couple months ago I bought 72 for $90 + shipping. Have not checked if they ship outside the US (I live in the UK, but had them shipped to a family member who then brought them accross the pond).

    • Fantastic selection! And very little driving between them. Fingers crossed the weather is good to you.
    • Day 20: 2026.01.22 Hit about twenty balls at the range. Quietly pleased with how the changes are bedding in, surprsingly consistent ball flight. Hoping to film over the weekend to capture new movement.
    • You might also consider a tune-up lesson. Check and see if anything in your set-up or basic swing is holding you back. I have been playing for more than five decades, but on occasion I've had to make swing tweaks due to age, loss of flexibility, etc. You don't have to reinvent your swing. A couple of static set-up changes might really help out.
    • Good advice. In general, you want to take whatever weight you are lifting to a couple of reps before failure, for muscle growth. There are other tactics for PT related stuff. I would trust your PT person.  For muscle growth, you can go like 30 reps to failure. It is tougher to gauge. Also, it takes 2x as long to do the same number of working sets per week if you are doing 15 instead. It is way less efficient, but your case is special because of the injury/aggravation to the hip.
    • Several years ago I got paired with a twosome of golfers, one of which had a maybe 5-year-old son with him. The kid had a putter and a 7i with him, and on some holes he would drop a ball near the green, chip on, and putt. If the kid started to get distracted, the dad would ask, "Do you need to rest?" The kid would nod yes, and then take his dad's seat riding in the cart for a couple of holes. It was a slow day, and the kid was polite and friendly. We got through 18 just fine. (If it had been a crowded course day, I'm sure it would have been less pleasant.)
