Somebody suggested, in another thread, that, if I wanted to embed videos, I upload them to YouTube and embed from there.

Ain't gonna happen.

First of all: I've taken a rather serious dislike to everything Alphabet (Google's holding company).  That includes YouTube.  I still have a valid Google account, but the only thing for which it's been used in perhaps three years was when I recently revived my wife's old Android tablet so I could install the WiFi Analyzer app on it to use for a WiFi network install I was doing for a buddy.

One of the biggest reasons I have such an abiding dislike for Alphabet/Google is what they did with Motorola.  They purchased the company, then turned around and sold Motorola Mobility to Lenovo, a Chinese firm.  (The sale to Lenovo was rumored to be, at least in part, because Google owning a cell phone maker annoyed one of their biggest customers: Samsung [who I also dislike]).  By all accounts Motorola Mobility was believed to have been profitable.  They manufactured all their mobile devices, save the very cheapest one, right here in the U.S.  Subsequently, the manufacturing of Motorola Mobility devices was moved to China, of course.

I will never forgive Google for doing that.

As to uploading any videos I make you YouTube there's this:

Quote

What do you give up when you upload your videos to YouTube? Let’s have a look at the Terms of Use and see. As is typical, you agree to the terms of service just by signing up for a YouTube account or visiting the YouTube website. “Content” on YouTube is anything a user uploads, including sounds, text, video, and graphics. When you upload your content to YouTube, you are granting them a “worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Service” and even the right to create “derivative works” from your content, which means that they can slice and dice it and make new content from it. You’re also granting other users of YouTube the right to “to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Service.” The license is perpetual and irrevocable, and they can keep copies of everything you upload forever on their servers, even if you delete it.

Ref: Who Owns Your Video When you Upload it to YouTube?

Absolutely not.

So, there you have it: That's why I don't YouTube.

I’m not saying you are. And I understand not wanting to use YouTube or whatever for the reasons you listed or others, but we don’t need a whole topic on it. :-)

    • Posted a couple swings here. I think my attempt to blend the movement still results in a more “around” back swing?
    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
    • Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.
    • I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
