I am leaving the country tomorrow for a few weeks, but I am definitely up for some golf with people on this forum when I return in mid/late May.

I have no car, but am downtown so I have good subway access on the red, blue and green lines.

I'm from the burbs but work in mid-town so I hope I qualify. Are we talking about a week day or a weekend? Where and when?

I think the course that seems to be the easiest to reach via subway is Van Cortlandt. That said, Split Rock is a better course except you have to take the train and bus/cab.

Again, though, if you guys are serious, send me a PM. I can fit three guys in my car. The weekday would obviously be less crowded. Does that work or should it be a Sat/Sun?

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
