Excitement and Disappointment

In the off season I walk local courses for a bit of exercise. Yesterday I was strolling around the back nine of our local Muni. I decided to take the steep route up "Heart Attack Hill" versus my usual gradual route. The sun popped out and I saw something shiney in the adjacent woods.

 

I figured I was in no hurry so I weaved my way into the underbrush.

 

 

 

Wow! Maybe some idiot got angry at his Volkey Wedge and tossed it ito the woods. Or a PXG!!!

 

Sigh, nope. The club's grip was still in decent shape and there was no damage to the club. But a 3 iron?????? Oh well, I need a new poker for our fire place.
