Amber Alert Question

Amber Alerts have helped many Clildrdn at risk but this early morning’s alert has raised a question.

First, I will say it is great the 3 year old was found safe which is by and far the most important thing.  My question is with the timing of the alert.

My understanding is with missing children time is very critical and the longer a child is missing increases the risk of a bad ending.

So, I am not upset that I got startled awake at 2:21am this morning by the Amber Alert.  What I do question is that if they knew the child was missing in a stolen car at 11:15pm Why wait over 3 HOURS to put out the Amber Alert???

An Amber Alert issued for 3-year-old Kemahanni King was canceled after police say she was found.

The article only says that's approximately when she was taken. We don't know when authorities were aware of it, or could verify anything needed.

We don't want Amber alerts becoming "boy who cried wolf" situations, either.
