my anniversary is on the 12th and my wife asked if i want golf equipment.... my face was like and then ........ so i decided to ask for a putter since i have new irons and everything else but my 15+ year old ping putter.....
so i figured to buy a scotty cameron circa 62 model #1 i played with it at my local edwin watts and loved it the feel and everything about it and the second thing about it thats cool is that it will match my titleist ap1 irons ....... but my question is this is it THE putter to buy any complaints or different finish pros and cons i used the charcoal mist finish

My sister and I gave my father a nice Scotty Cameron as a special birthday gift one year.

It was the Sante Fe, I believe...with the terrylium insert. This was a very hot putter at the time (late nineties). I think he's really enjoyed it over the years.

Get the one that you like...the one that makes you confident. I believe that a highly desired putter will help you sink more putts. I believe this because: 1) folks spending big bucks on a putter most likely take great care to have it fitted to them 2) they focus much more on putts and break, speed and grain become objects of scrutiny each putt.

The only thing I did not like about the Circa 62 is the sight dot as apposed to the line. I have had the Studio Stainless and the Circa 62 and I just could not get the feel for the dot. If it was me, I would go after the Studio Select. All Cameron putters will feel great, it is just a matter of personal preference in looks and set up. Good luck!

i have a love for the old nostalgic look of the circa 62 model 1 without the back cavity the other putters that looks like this are the napa valley witch is alot of money$$ and the older studio that looks like the model 1...... and if i dident like the scotty cameron and thats impossible i would of went with the nike unitized "retro" but i want all my stuff to match and ive been after that putter for a while so i guess well see in 6 days

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
