Im thinking of getting a hybrid to replace my 3i just to give myself more playabillity from the rough. I hit my 3i well, about 205-215 from the deck, but the lie has to be perfect. I am not consistant with it from the rough and would like to add that 170-190 distance from the rough to my game. I usually hit my 4i or 5i and pray from that distance right now. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I dont.

I carry an 18 at the momment so im looking for a 21-22 degree. I know that loft probably overlaps my 4i but im looking for the playabillity, here. I prefer to hit a high cut with my cobra hybrid, if i can. Any recomendations?

I like my 20° Cobra hybrid. I hit it great out of the rough, mediocore off a good lie. But now I'm hitting the MP FLI-HI (21°) well off of a good lie. It's weird for me now. I used to hit my 4H well off of a good lie. *sigh* practice time.

Depending on your budget level, you might want to consider also looking at 4+. Nickent (and maybe other companies, too) does X+ hybrids that are between X and X-1 in loft.

While you hit the ball a bit further than I do, I will throw in my two cents by saying, like Shindig, I very much like all my Cobra Bafflers. I find them very easy to hit from almost any lie and I hit them more consistently than the equivalent wood or iron. Plus I can work the ball a bit with them and I say this about the regular Baffler DWS, not the Baffler Pro, which I see you use.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I would prefer to get another baffler just because im familar with the way it plays, Its my lay up club on long par 5's and my tee club for long par threes. But they dont make the loft I want. It would be either a 20, or a 23. The 20 wouldnt really cover the distance im looking for and the 23 would be too much of a gap. So I thought id ask around and see what other posters here think about their hybrids.

Just picked up a titliest 585h 21 degree w/ a v2 shaft after talking with my pro on the phone. He mentioned it is a hybrid I can grow with as I get better, so that is a plus as well. I hope it works out for me.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
