WOW! Thats a great putter you got there. What I'm really surprised about is the 14 shaved putts. I like the grip too but Winn grips wear out way too easliy if you ask me. Hope the honeymoon doesn't end

I really hope the honeymoon doesn't end as well. I'm a firm believer that for the most part its the archer not the arrow, but I was trying to shoot a arrow that was meant for a giant before and not little ol me.

So having something that fits me and please the eye led to confidence and trust in the putter. It was amazing how much that helped my lag putting!

And as to the cost.. that particular putter w/fitting was $580 after tax.

14 putts in one round!! or have I misunderstood?

I wish I had 14 putts in one round, but I took 14 less putts after getting the new flatstick.

Now I know that seems very high and I agree it is, but here is the reasoning. The putter I had been using was an off the shelf and way too long for me. This combined with the length and my associated poor setup caused me to push everything far to the right and get very "handsy" when lag putting.

Now that I'm much more comfortable over the ball and lined up better the stroke is more fluid and online and thus my lag putting increased dramatically.

I'm still a crappy putter mind you.. it's not like I started draining every 10-20 footer, but rather than 3 putting almost every hole I was now 2-putting.

Obviously everyones mileage may vary. If you already have a good stroke and set up well to the ball I don't think a saving of 14 putts is very realistic... If you suck like me however =)

thats some decent bread for a putter, I dropped 3 on my scotty and had some work done post production

I don't want to rain on your new toy...so don't get me wrong, if it helps that much, good for you. However, you had 14 less putts and still scored 5 strokes higher. Continue to hit the range and get down all those missed shots.

Don't worry about raining on my parade.. I actually take lessons every Tuesday night and hit the range 1-2 times a week plus my weekly Sunday round. So do I need a lot of work? Yeah. Am I trying to put it in? Yep again =) I'm hoping to be shooting in the low 90s by the end of the season and think I actually have a reasonable shot of doing so if I can gain some more consistency. Never worry about raining on my parade though... every day is sunshine in my head.. life is too short to deal with rain!
