macgregor blade irons

i have hit them and they seem nice but macgegor as a company does not get much attention has anybody hit these clubs and what do you think and do you have an opinion on why they are not getting alot of attention

Which MacGregor blades did you hit? The V Foil series blade? If so, I've demo'd these and they are very nice. They are a bit bigger than your average blade and more forgiving. They have released a second series, I forget the name, that are a bit more traditional.

IMO, the reason why you don't hear as much is probably due to not having the marketing budget of other companies. That said, plenty of good players use or have used Macgregor: Greg Norman, Aaron Baddeley, to name two.

He's probably referring to the Pro-M irons that came out in early Spring.

As for me I haven't hit the M's yet but the Pro-Cs are like butter when paired with Nippon 1150GH shafts

edit: the gunmetal is unreal and I believe they may have just made a sell out of me, just waiting till the offseason before I jump into new clubs

i know a kid that ordered the gunmetal pro m's and they didnt get there for a month(the gunmetal is special edition)

has anyone here played the Macgregor M675 Forged Irons? They are on sale now for 299

how do they compare to the M series blades?

Yes, I own a couple sets but I don't use them.

I own 4 sets of MacGregor M565s. There is no comparison between these and the blades. I used to play blades, but it was more of an ego thing. The 565s are forged irons with reduced offset. The only thing that may turn you off a little, is the thick top line.

After you hit them a few times, the top lines start looking better. Blades are thing of the past - even for the pros. The only exception are some combo sets. If you like these (7-PW blades) - rest cavity back, try to get hold of some Maxfli A-10 tour limited. They are awesome.
