Mizuno MP-60 thoughts and questions after 1st round.....

So I got my "slightly used" Mizuno MP-60's w/DG stiff shafts two days ago and played them for the first time today. One word... WOW! I love 'em. The feel is amazing.
I was playing Titleist DCI blacks with Reg flex for about ten years but just felt like I needed to get up to date with techology a bit.

Here's the only potential problem I see...
I was really precise with my DCI short irons (7-PW)on most days with a pretty straight ball flight. The longer irons were always more of a struggle with a fade tendency if I even made solid contact.

Here's the weird part... I am now producing a HEAVY draw with the MP-60 short irons (7-PW) and a straight ball to slight draw on the longer irons, but The MP-60's have STIFF SHAFTS... I don't get it. LOL Everything seems backwards according to what should've happened based on what I've read.

Anybody have any insight to this phenomena???

I do love the feel of these clubs, so they're not going ANYWHERE, but I figured I'd ask before I started tinkering with my swing that has been so good to me for so long.

Thoughts? .....

It could be that the regular flex required you to release your hand further to square up the club face, while the stiff flex reacts more to you turning your hands over, and so the club is slightly closed at impact.

In my experience, there's often a short adjustment period to any new irons when some weird things happen. I could be feel, it could be psychological, but it usually takes a few rounds with new irons for me to return to a "typical" ball flight. I'd give them a few more rounds before you try think about doing something different.

BTW--I've found my MP-60s to be the most accurate irons I've played to date. And you can't beat the feeling of a well struck shot.

      Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.

      As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
