my first wedge im buying and just wanted to know if im over paying or its not worth it.....56* oil can spin milled vokey for $35-$40 its local on craigslist havent seen it in person but just want to know if its worth the time

Round here, that wedge goes 109.00 new. Depends on condition but I have blown far more money on dumber crap than a 40 dollar Vokey.

Thats not over paying at all, Contact the seller and ask how long its been used for. Thats a great deal.

he says not long and also says the grooves are sharp and clean i might pick this up...... but my only problem is this my cousins husband has the same wedge that i can probably get for free for taking him on my country club but i might get this one

if you dont have any wedges, why not get both? Maybe they are different lofts.

no they are the same i just feel like i need one cause my wedge thats in my set isent high enough to get over troublesome bunkers on my course..... for instance i went golfing this afternoon and i was in a spot where i needed it to just clear the sand trap and stop cause the pin was in a hard spot i got lucky and did almost like a flop with my wedge and left it a foot for par lol.....tried it next hole and never happen again lol thats when i said damn i wish i had a wedge right now

he just told me it is a 10* bounce what is that reccomended for? and does it make that big of a difference?

Even if that thing is beat up pretty good, it is worth it. I rusted out oil can is still worth $50 in my opinion. You might want to get it re-grooved if it is really beat up, but still worth it. Vokeys are tremendous clubs that perform well for years. My oil can is a piece of rusted out metal, and it is my favorite club in my bag.

The bounce is on the low side of standard. I play a 10 degree bounce and find it to be no trouble, others like to play more, like 16 degrees. 12 or 14 is pretty much standard, but 10 is still in the "standard" range.
