OK, long story short, can't hit long irons worth a crap since I started back playing. I can still hit woods really well considering. So I just ordered a 7w to match my 3 and 5 woods. I am assuming I will hit it fine as I used to hit a 9 wood killer.

Comfy range for me is...
3w 180-200
5w 170-185 So I'm covered here.
what will the 7w likely be from the above? 150-170?

Why I ask, I am not comfy with any iron more than 7i, which I feel good in the 130-140 range, but on good days upto 150. I am looking for a club to nail that 145-160 range. Thing is, I have tried numerous hybrids and can't hit them to save my life! Ironically, with my decent drives on the courses I play, my second shot falls into this "missing" range for me a lot! So I either lay up or back way down (which I usually fly the green then).

Of course I am trying to get a decent game back and will continue working on my 5 & 6 irons, but what might you guys suggest for this hacker?
Appreciate all the info and comments!
