I know there are a few of us that are playing them right now. Just would like to get some responses of what you think so far...dislikes/likes? If you're also thinking about getting them throw up a question.

Me: I got the set about a month ago..4-GW. Standard LLL, even though I was fitted..I'm standard, with the DGHL R300 shaft. This is the first set that I have bought brand new and couldn't be happier. I am so excited about the higher ball flight and penetrating trajectory. First time I can actually start aiming at the flag if I wanted to. Lets hear it.

Got mine last week. Absolutely love them. They feel so pure.

I switched from the Callaway Fusion's and they are so much nicer.

I got 6 - PW, 2 degree upright, Aldilla R75 graph. shaft.

Have been playing them for a couple of months.
Best irons (for me, 8.3 hcp) in the last 10 years or so...

I got fitted. I ended up (somewhat suprisingly) with the DG HL S300.
The only thing I have to get used to is that I'm hiiting them almost one club longer. Thus, my old yardages are off.

Good luck.

I've been trying really hard to like them but there seems to me to be too much bounce in them. maybe it's just me and coming from MP 33's but it's hard to make crisp contact and take the divot. must be a sweepers club.

I will soon have mine. Titleist originally sent out the wrong clubs so Golf Galaxy had to redo them. Can't wait to get them and see how they play compared to my Snake Eyes Pythons I have been playing for 3 years.

+1/2 inch, 2 degrees up.

I fitted with them and went with the Callaway X20s, but I could've been just as happy with the feel of the AP1s.

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

I think it's pretty hard to get a blade type divot with the AP1 as the leading edge is not as sharp and the wider sole is more for a "sweeper"..this is not to say that you don't need a descending angle of course. I would have to say that "ex"-Callaway types, like myself, can absolutely transition to these. They do feel alot more crisp than the "X" series Callaways and the trajectory is alot more boring. I could hit the 6 iron all day..

The good news is that my clubs came in and are the right length and lie. The bad news is that I am in Germany on business and won't be able to pick them up till Friday when I get back.

    • Day 116 12-6 Still working on getting to lead side. Tonight I also tried some skill work with clubface awareness.  Hit foam balls.
    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
