OK so I would really like to actually HIT a set of clubs before i buy them. I went to golfsmith thinking theyd have half decent mats. No way it was like a strip less than a foot wide and a hard plastic that was immpossible for me to hit off of.

Does anyone know of a place that lets you demo clubs on either a nicer mat similiar to ones at ranges(which i still dont like that much), or even outdoors?

My local course doesn't really sell any clubs or anything so thats out of the question some places may but you might have to be a member so that might be out the door as well.

What does anybody else do when they want to TEST clubs before buying.

Theres a golf shop in my local area that has its own driving range, so you can try any club before you buy it.
Also, theres about 5 country clubs/golf coures in within 20 miles of where I live that deal in Titleist and they all will let you try a club out on their driving range before you buy.

Well I'm looking to try mizunos and i know a few places around here that sell clubs and let you try before you buy but none deal with mizuno.

What I'm really looking for is a general "store" or i might just have to call all the courses around here and ask..

Did you go on Mizuno's website and use the dealer locator? That might point you to a local golf course that deals in Mizuno.

Hmmm, I wrote a post about golfclubdemo-dot-com. But when when I tried to post, it said that it would be visible after moderator approval.

Not sure what I did/did not do. I don't recall anything in the welcome/faq/etc posts about this sort of occurence, so if someone could let me know, I'd appreciate it. That way I can do it/not do it next time.

my edwin watts has a launch monitor machine and they have a huge selection of clubs..... try edwin watts if you got one local

My golfsmith has nice mats. So does Edwin Watts. As does Dicks in my opinion. My club that I belong to, lets you demo their sets on the course.

      Have posted in a while or practiced for that matter. Dealing with a few medical issues. But I was able to practice and film today. I’ve played 5 times this year. Misses have been pulls or heavy shots. I feel this has a lot to do with my lower back issues. When I feel good, I get good rotation and I hit the ball well. Today I felt good. Hips and lower back felt nice and flexible. I worked mainly on the hands feeling from the top. The club head should feel like it’s going down and away from the ball and target at the start of the downswing. The right knee should stay a little flexed at the top. These are the only swing thoughts other than high hands (arms going up) I’ve been focused on. I did PW, 6 iron and Driver today. Here is PW. The hands look better as does the knee in the rehearsal. The knee gets more straight in the actual swing.   My left arm is not straight at impact, which it has never really been. But that’s not the focus of this practice.   6 iron looks better than last time. Driver also looks better than last time. Playing tomorrow. Hopefully my body will cooperate.

      The way to practice this is not at full speed, even if you do manage to "change" something. But no, not quite like that. That's a late lift, but you still have the early roll, and you stand up too much in that swing (likely in trying to "lift" — the "lift" is relative to your torso, not the ground).
