Hi guys,

I'm currently off 18 but i'm confident that will drop pretty soon.

My current irons are several years old, MacGregor MX tour with the accompanying Mc 501 woods.

What i'm looking for is a set of decent forgiving irons that don't have too much of a thick topline. I know I could buy a set of blades but i wouldn't be able to hit them out of my way!

I was thinking along the lines of cleveland cg gold or wilson Ci7. I read all the great reviews of the Di7's but they just look a bit too chunky for my liking.

Does anybody here have any opinions on the above sets or something similar?

Thanking you in advance

I play Cobra IH 3100s and they are the most forgiving set of irons I've ever played. I had Ping Eye2s before and a set of old school Wilson's before that. Best thing to do is find a local golf shop that have the right equipment (such as the ball monitoring and all of that non-sence) and spend some time there with an employee swinging into the net or virtual reality screen to see what feels best for you. My local shop fit the clubs to my swing for free when I was picking out a new set after graduating High School. Hope this helps, GL.

Try out a set of Cobra FP's. I'm a 26 (and falling), but I wanted clubs that were forgiving, but workable. I tried things like G10's and they were just too "chunky" for my tastes. I really like my Cobras.
