2007 Camry Hybrid 35 - 38 MPG. I don't fill my tank often but last time I paid it was just over $50.

What kind of MPG does a Corvette get? I am trying to convince my wife to get one.

I have a couple of friends that own late models and surprisingly they claim high 20s low 30s for gas mileage. I would assume that is w/o their foot in it.

Ya I knew someone that had a ZO6. He would get 30 mpg all the time if he was on the highway and not putting his foot into it. BUT, he would get 12 in the city because he said the car was just made to accelerate fast!!

Corvettes and all LSx engine cars can get pretty decent mileage for 2 reasons.

1. A ton of torque, you can drive around town at very low RPM's and still have power to accelerate.
2. Very tall 6 gear overdrive, this allows you to drive around at 40 mph at somewhere in the 2000 rpm range.

My Miata gets 23 if I drive it normally, 28 if I drive it very easy. The Lotus gets about 21-22, I've never driven it easy. I bet it could get about 25-28 if I did though. Pretty bad from a 1.6L and a 1.8L 4 cyl.

I haveyet to recieve my new scion (ordered but not in stock), but EPA says 28 city and 34 hwy. So a new car with great milage what more could a teenager ask for in a new car.
