With the release of version 2.0 of the iPhone/iPod and introduction of the App Store, a bunch of Golf tracking software is available. Has anyone tried any of those?

Me personally, I will wait for the Scorecard to be available for iPhone, I think I read some news regarding that, can't remember where though.

Me personally, I will wait for the Scorecard to be available for iPhone, I think I read some news regarding that, can't remember where though.

We're working on it. It's just going to keep your score on the phone so you can sync it when you get back home.

Do you think there is any chance that you allow the output of the iphone to be something like xml?

I made a little app for my windows mobile 5.0 phone last year to keep score and do some gps (too bad bluetooth gps kills my battery or I would actually use it), but I really only use it for stat keeping now. I would love to be able to make an interface to Scorecard and be able to import rounds. If Scorecard accepted XML this process would be trivial assuming the specs were public knowledge.
In my brand new bag (all my old stuff was stolen out of my trunk in June 2008 ):

It will be XML, but you won't have any easy way of getting at the file. We're having to add a server capability to the desktop app and the iPhone app so they can talk to each other. The "XML" will just be data in the wind, synced via WiFi.

Scorecard will (with 1.5) accept XML, and of a format of our choosing (already designed), but I doubt you kept the same stats we keep. First putt distance, for example...
