Would like to play it sometime, but I really need to work on my game before doing so. I've heard from a few friends and a lot of other people that it's one of the top courses in Wisconsin. I hear it's a pretty darn tough setup with a lot of forced carries right off the bat. Anyone ever play it?

Here's the course overview:

If you click the hole on the left it'll give you a helicopter fly through of each hole, pretty nice feature.

Golf Chicago has a nice writeup on this place in it's June issue. Looks fantastic and the next time I am up in the Dells (HOPEFULLY NEVER), I will try to make time for a round.

I played the course several years ago when it was the Wilderness golf course. At that time they were beginning to tear up part of the course for new development and to add new holes for the Wild Rock transformation.

I really enjoyed the course and am sure it has only gotten better. I don't remember many forced carries but there were areas that were a bit tight through the woods.

Played this course four times last fall.  Overall this is a really nice layout with elevation drops, challenging bunkering, and good conditions.  I really liked most hole layouts that are very interesting.

The greens are what takes this course from a 4.5 star to a 3.5 star course.  Overall they are in great shape, but they have designed such large swales into them that they should have put a windmill and clowns mouth on them too.   The designer went overboard and they they are just too tricked out to be a championship layout.  They will frustrate you to no end.  And, putting is one of my strengths.

My $.02.
