So I was at my local course a few days ago, talking about possibly having some KZG's made when I told the clubfitter I was thinking about buying a set of Nickents. He asked if I heard they were going out of business. He said 3-4 months ago he had talked to the Nickent rep for Northern California about starting to be a Nickent dealer, and about a month ago he sent in his paperwork. 2 weeks later he said he received something back saying they were going to be going out of business. Anybody else work where they carry Nickent's confirm this? I dont want to buy some clubs and then the company goes under. I sent a email to Nickent, but I received the standard, "Thanks for your interest in our clubs, if you have questions please contact your local Nickent dealer"

Let me guess, the guy also said something like, "KZG would be a better club for you." Maybe he didn't; but all, and I mean ALL, the KZG assemblers I've met in my area are real hustlers.

Acutally no, he isnt one of those types of guys. He was praising the Nickents, saying it was unfortunate that they were going out of business, that it was a shame because he felt they made one of the best hybrids in the business.

Sounds as if you got some bum skinny from the clubfitter, eh?

I really hope not. I've got 11 nickents all the way from 4 hybrid to my lob wedge. These clubs have treated me well and I was planning on sticking with the brand. I don't know if I can believe that considering how popular on tour those hybrids are.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I doubt a company having as much success as them would go out of business. Plus their hybrids are awesome I know a lot of people that have them and I'm going to buy one soon too. They are difficult to get though... I went to Golf Galaxy and they didn't even carry them, and at a lot of places online they are back ordered.

Perhaps he was confusing Nickent with Sonartec.

Too about them. They made some real nice clubs.
