Has anyone used or purchased the BagBoy ClipLok cart bag? I have a new set of AP2's and want to cut down on some of the bag chatter to keep them looking as new as possible. I don't walk anymore (sports injuries have taken their toll on my knees and ankles) so I'm looking exclusively at cart bags. Any help with BagBoy or other brands/models is greatly appreciated.

By the way, this forum is great and everyone seems to provide great input into other posts. I'm a new member and am glad I found this site!

right after I read this post I did a little google search, cause I'm still trying to figure out the type of Nike bag I have.. I ended up finding:

www.golfbagplace.com

Then go to cart bags, from there you have brand options to look at.. Based on your clubs, your not the brand loyal type so you should have plenty of options.

There is a Nike Cart bag for 110$ on that website and a Ogio one for 100$.. Both come with free shipping, but before you buy it there check local places and online for better deals.

Thanks Wazzu. I'm less concerned about the price as long as the bag is a quality product, reduces the 'chatter' and has roomy compartments. I've heard good things about the Ogio brand and will take some suggestions from this thread and seek them out at local shops to get a first hand look.

By the way, while that website is good to look at for all types, on my journey to look for my bag's name I ended up seeing the Nike one for 80$ on msn shopping. If your worried about chatter, I suggest the way to go would be a local store.

Another good option is get iron covers, it reduces the chatter to pretty much 0 and only takes a couple seconds. I don't prefer the hard ones but that is just me, the soft one's cover them just as well.

I had the neoprene iron covers for my old set (Mizuno T-Zoid Pro's, forged) but they developed rust in the grooves within the first three months. Mizuno suggested I do away with them because they were likely trapping moisture which caused the rust. They were nice enough to replace the heads for me though.

I'm hoping to find a bag or divider to attach to a cart bag that will keep the clubs from bouncing around

I have the OGIO Exodus, which is one of their cart bags. I love all the features on the bag, but the one thing it does is rattle. Its not as bad as my old stand bag, but its noticeable. Their club separating system is kind of funky.

Thanks to those who replied. I'm surprised no one had used the bagboy cliplok.

I have a BagBoy Revolver which has the Cliplock feature (see my sig). I love it, but I would probably be just as happy with the regular non-revolving top version. To be honest, I don't lock the clubs in place very often, but it does work. You can literally turn the bag upside down and the clubs stay in place, so I'm sure it does help prevent bag chatter. It also has lots of pockets, 2 of which are insulated. I wish it had an external putter tube instead of the putter clips, but it does have 14 tubes in the top so a 15th for a putter isn't really necessary. And it's a little on the heavy side (probably about 10 lbs unloaded), but like I said, overall I love it.

Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff...

Thanks Snake. I'm glad to see the clip lok feature works to some extent.

Have you considered light weight iron covers?

I don't carry so the weight of iron covers is not an issue. If I were to use them again I'd get the same brand/style which was neoprene.
