I am looking at getting a new bag as my old one has about 7 years of wear on it. I am curious as to the benefits and drawbacks of owning a staff bag. I almost always take a cart (either ride or push cart), so the weight of it is not my biggest concern. I guess I am wondering if anyone has had problems with a bag being too bulky? Maybe too big to fit in a car trunk or something? Any feed back is appreciated. I am considering a Mizuno Staff bag, or maybe an Ogio. Any other suggestions for a nice Staff bag?

i think a stand bag is just better cause its not as bulky and carries just about the same amount fo stuff. the only reason the pros use them is cause they have shoes and rain clothes and gloves and balls and more stuff than we the average golfer would carry. so go get your self a stand bag and you will be perfect.

A staff bag is really really big, so you have alot of big pockets but is really big. a cart bag has little pockets but still big enough for everything you need for the course. a staff bag i think is just way to big to be hauling around. i would stick with a cart bag.

Go with a cart bag. Reason is that a good cart bag should have the zippers and pockets strategically placed so that you can easily access the storage areas when mounted on a golf cart.

I myself have several bags. Cart, stand, and sunday bags. Each dependent on use for the day.

I just recently switched from a stand bag to a cart bag......and glad I did. The stand bag has its pros, definately.....but if you will be doing more cart riding than walking, the cart bag is the way to go. First, it fits the cart better than the stand bag with no legs in the way. The cart bag is designed to sit on the cart while allowing access to all pockets. I have a lot more room for rain gear, scorecards, water bottles, etc....for sure....I got the Titlelist S85 and couldn't be happier.
