Anyone feel their dg s300's are too heavy?

My old irons were 822 os with nippon regulars. I bought a pair of titleist 755s with dg s300s. at first i did really well with them but sure it took time to get used to the weight of the dgs. recently though i have been chunking the ball like crazy and i have been trying to work on it at the range and i've also had a loss of distance with my irons. feeling kind of discouraged and i'm thinking about going back to 822os... i shoot 80 on a good day and 90 on a bad day. my irons are my biggest weakness right now and i'm just not sure whether its the shaft or the club... obviously the biggest problem is me tho... what to do....

I always thought dg s300s were too heavy and harsh feeling as well. I don't mind them or DG200s/"wedge flex" in a nice heavy wedge though. I never liked DGs in my irons for this reason. Then I got some DG R300s and for some reason, oh baby. Still heavy-ish but at my swing speed they feel more responsive.

yeah you know, in my hybrid the s300 is perfect, but i don't know if i'm aggressive enough with the irons.

I played with nippon shafts in a set of mizuno mx-19's. If i was to reshaft my irons ever. It'd be with those. VERY LIGHT. I could always feel the clubhead and it was great.

Well maybe you should have tried the R300's? I have the R300's on my irons and they feel great. I have a swing speed of 105 and use Regular shafts in all my clubs. I've tried stiff and it just wasn't working for me.

      Day 29 (9 Dec 25) - PW dink and rolls as well as low flighted chips.  Dink and rolls - set up with club head toe down/heel up to promote low flight, plenty of roll out.  Low flighted pitches - club flat on the ground to get ball up a Rick more and check more.   No more than 10yds total distance - focus on getting the ball to finish near (within 10’ dia circle) the target “pin”…

      Never play with him again, and make sure every time you see him (especially when he's with other people) bring it up as a joke. Everyone will laugh but him. If he wants to ruin his own reputation, let him.

      Only ever used ShipSticks and never had a problem. It's really nice because you can ship to anywhere not just courses.  No matter what you use, I take the extra care of the clubs and wrap them in something before putting them in your bag and into the shipping box.

      Practicing my putting after work. I put five balls on the carpet and a mug on the other side. Once I make 3 out of 5 I can stop. If I leave any short or they go to far and fall off the rug, I restart.  Focusing on speed and hitting my mark 3 inches in front of me. Trying to gain consistency and discipline in all aspects of my putting game.
