Hand placement question

From a general standpoint, where is the correct hand placement on the grip?
I don't mean strong or weak grip but should your picky be at the very end of the grip?
Is it ok to choak down on all of your clubs? (I do)
And if so would it be worth it to cut down all my shafts?

I know, I know I should go be fitting, and see a professonial and blah blah blah. But I was just asking these questions to get a general idea.

Within reason this would seem to be mostly a matter of personal preference. Choking up will make the club swing with a smaller effective SW and/or MOI and play with a bit flatter lie. Of course a clubfitter can also make these kinds of changes (in both direction). dave

if you are more comfortable choking up a little...then by all means choke up. Although cutting the shafts will get you to that effective length that you have by choking up...you will likely still have the urge to choke up on the cut shafts.
