Well, i just got a new driver, i think my irons are fine for now, but, i was wondering should i get a new bag since all i have is a cart one and lately i have been walking mostly or, should i get a new putter, or wedges?

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.

Well if your going to walk a lot, you should probably get a stand bag. It'd be a lot easier.

Err... Why not just spend a few bucks more and get a push cart. You can still walk, keep your nice cart bag and save rental fees when you don't want to lug around the bag.

That said, my first priority is always gear that helps improve my game before toys.. So I'd look at your club needs and make that decsion first..

Good luck!

Depends what you really need I guess. Personally, I would buy a push cart for $15-$30 then buy a new set of clubs.

The stand bag would definitely help you more, since you won't be tired from lugging around that cart bag, but I think you should invest in a good bag such as a ping which is what I have or maybe an Ogio or Sun Mountin. Get one with good straps that fits well on your back, and has good slots for your clubs.

Well, it all comes down to personal preference, but if we are sort of voting here, then my vote is for:

A really lightweight (under 5 lbs) stand bag. Right now, with the new models coming out soon, you can get one for much cheaper than a new putter or wedges.

Ogio Vaporlight/Octane/Ozone
Sun Mountain Superlight 3.5
PING Hoofer
Callaway Warbird Hot XTT (although I think that one is heavier than listed)
Nike Extreme Light or Sport (not crazy about the lack of dividers)
Titleist x86
Cobra Lightweight

etc.

Ogio Vaporlite (no logo version) $69 at TGW

I have the Sun Mountain 3.5 and love it. You almost can't feel it, and there's room for everything. The best part is that it's hot pink, so when I use a caddy, he (always a he) gets to walk around with it.

On the pushcart thing, The real key is to get a basket. http://www.comoze.com/accessories.html It holds my head covers, a jacket, anything else I need. I swear I feel like I've got a Buick or something, but all my playing partners are jealous.

    • Day 29 (9 Dec 25) - PW dink and rolls as well as low flighted chips.  Dink and rolls - set up with club head toe down/heel up to promote low flight, plenty of roll out.  Low flighted pitches - club flat on the ground to get ball up a Rick more and check more.   No more than 10yds total distance - focus on getting the ball to finish near (within 10’ dia circle) the target “pin”…

If I leave any short or they go to far and fall off the rug, I restart.  Focusing on speed and hitting my mark 3 inches in front of me. Trying to gain consistency and discipline in all aspects of my putting game.
